Usual thread for those that catch the eye, and hopefully be a bit more selective this season.

The Goffer – 33’s EW Cross CountrySeptember 20, 2021 at 12:21 #1561004Yes he did that easily Coach Carter. Gevrey was OK too till his last fence mistake but the jockey felt he wouldn’t have beaten the winner, and he is a bit smaller so less scope than Coach Carter.
October 25, 2021 at 23:38 #1564627Yeah Grass, well impressed, and already on the radar for a few prizes, but bit of of a shocker there from him, but not giving up on him at all.
December 8, 2021 at 22:10 #1571360I was very impressed with Constitution Hill last week, VTC, what did you think? Put 14ls on RU after last and has ran to a high standard for a novice debut
December 8, 2021 at 22:16 #1571364I swerve the novice hurdlers as much as I can these days mate, certainly from an Antepost perspective, but he was very, very impressive. Should be bang there throughout the season. As good a performance as I’ve in seen in a while from a Novice
Unfortunately I won’t ever get a chance to get him at a price, as I think he’s going to be very very popular from now on, and looks a proper star already. Cats already out the bag with him
December 8, 2021 at 22:20 #1571365I like the look of Good Boy Bobby if they place him right. Good run in rehearsal chase, won at Wetherby before listed handicap and there is a listed 3 miler at Wetherby around Christmas, hopefully they send him
December 8, 2021 at 22:39 #1571382Yeah, race you’re thinking of is The Rowland Meyrick, and that would be a good fit for him. I’ve got that race in mind for another pair from The Rehearsal, Dingo Dollar and The Ferry Master in mind for that race too.
December 8, 2021 at 22:44 #1571385Yeah Rowland Meyrick is the one. Good luck with how they go for you, I will assess closer on day to decide ideas for sure but certainly think the Rowland Meyrick is a good target for him. Another I like for that meeting is if they sent Numitor back there for the Castleford.

Put her up as an interesting one earlier in the season, but thought she’d need a bit more time, so didn’t take the overnight 9-2 for her at Wincanton on Tuesday. That was a mistake, and she won in a canter. Not the best race she’ll run in, but competitive enough.Doubt there’ll be too many races in the future where she’ll be available around those odds on the day, as I think she could be very good.
The Mares Novice isn’t really my thing, but I’ll make an exception here, while she’s 20’s. Really like her.
December 31, 2021 at 18:10 #1575775Was gladly surprised Good Boy Bobby was not favourite in the end!
January 3, 2022 at 09:33 #1576339Well done TB with Good Boy Bobby
I think I can safely forget Coach Carter, who’s now flopped twice in a row.
En Beton
Been waiting out this guy for a while, and it was great see him return with a comfortable win at Punchestown on Friday. Should have plenty more to offer.Mr Fred Rogers
Really like this guy. Great attitude when winning this year, and he’s one you’d want on your side in a battle. Hopefully see him out soon. Like him for Martin Pipe, but wouldn’t surprise me to see him entered in Pertemps QualifierFebruary 12, 2022 at 17:30 #1582885Celebre D’Allen
Seems strange sticking a 10yo up, but I thought he won with tons to spare today. He’ll hopefully come away from this a few pounds in hand, and I’ll definitely be betting him if he goes for a decent pot.April 8, 2022 at 16:49 #1592105Haute Estime finishing well there and she’s only 5. The next staying chaser for the yard?
April 18, 2022 at 02:25 #1594318Sorry Grass just clocked this.
Yeah, straight in notebook for something like Borders National definitely, after that finish
November 29, 2022 at 17:20 #1625114I meant to keep tabs on Gold Cup Bailly this year and missed him twice, d’oh! Lovely horse.
December 23, 2022 at 16:20 #1627875I know the tread isn’t intended for horses from the a/w so I hope people won’t object to be putting forward a lightly raced filly who looks to have a future at least as a very high class handicapper. Al Agaila disposed of her rivals in contemptuous fashion off her debut mark of 79 and it’s likely connections will be aiming for finals day and mapping out their route.Definitely one to keep onside for 2023.
good luck to allFebruary 14, 2023 at 13:19 #1635415Sir Robin running today at Newcastle looks an interesting long term prospect.
This lightly raced individual is progressive and looks destined to at least make a smart handicapper.
