Doesn’t Kealy do the tips for the “Morning Star”? I don’t suppose the proletariat want to lump on an odds on chance. ;-)

Been laying baeed now since what i said on the first page, more confident than i was then now that the big drift is coming, will keep laying him until about 4/7, should be evs currently and if the deluge arrives he should be 6/4 (he wont come out that far)

On mishriff but will likely be adding in high definition also both e/w

If the ground goes really heavy ill be having some fun R/Fs with DH & HD

With all the complimentary things said about Baeed and the comparisons with Frankel, nice to see a favourable mention of my fave Sea The Stars.

“”Sea The Stars first,” he says without hesitation.
    “Frankel second“

    Oh dear.

It’s all down to personal criteria, and I was a massive Sea The Stars fan (who could love racing and not be?)

But Frankel put up the higher rateable performances and that’s my personal main criterion.

As Clivexx once said, someone might hold the opinion that Victoria Beckham is a better author than Shakespeare.

“who could love racing and not be?”

Me. He was a very good horse but vastly overrated, as we’ve discussed on here before.

“someone might hold the opinion that Victoria Beckham is a better author than Shakespeare.”

If your criteria there is past life experience in a girl band and the ability to call your boyfriend “babe” 50 times during a joint interview with Terry Wogan, I can see that point of view.

    😳

Yes; I’ve been more pedantic than the self-confessed pedant. 😂

    Touché!

    Love it!

Criterion singular, criteria plural – back to school, Chezza!

    Headline in The Guardian:

“Baaeed steps up in trip with aura of Frankel invincibility.”

These hacks cannot help themselves, can they?

Why let the truth get in the way of a good headline.

York racecourse has missed the rain. Good to Firm.

IMO this race is quite simple. If Baaeed stays he wins and if he doesn’t Mishriff wins!! :good: :good:

Rain would never have been an issue, Baeed prefers softened ground. His furthest margin of victory this year was at a heavily watered Newbury on Lockinge day and the firmer ground at Ascot and Goodwood have been detrimental to his margins of victory.

I haven’t heard anyone say this horse is as good as Frankel so I’m surprised at the reaction to the hyping up of a brilliant racehorse. Maybe I haven’t been listening enough.
Anyway, he’s half as good as Frankel and that boy won this race by 7 lengths so I’ll jump on 10/11 for Baeed to win by 2 or more for the craic.

York has had 4mm of rain in the last six hours overnight, it is still raining now and on balance the probability is that it will continue to rain until about 10am.

It was good timing for the ground crew and c.o.c because they were due to irrigate in the very early hours but the slightly more substantial rain arrived around 1-3 am so no watering was required, it was done for them.

I’ve taken Native Trail at 8-1 for a bit of interest, but I’m just hoping to see a proper race here
