Gordie trust me – if this one turns up Epsom, your one should start running now. I think The Gurkha could end up being the second highest rated Galileo ever.

Out in Dubai at the moment and frustratingly not on the ball. I say that because I have bee waiting for Yangtze to run ever since he was a staying on 5th behind Imperial Aviator and Ulysses last time out. He runs tomorrow and was 5’s earlier on today!! You can only get 2’s now but he is running off 71 ffs!!! He has to win. Also tomorrow I am not going to miss out on Cajoled again who runs for my future trainer to follow George Scott and Danilova has to be winning of her mark if she is going to be running where her trainer thinks she belongs – in group races.
£150 win Yangtze – 2-1 – 7.30 Sandown lost
£80 win Danulova – 5-4 – 8.35 Sandown lost
£50ew Cajoled – 6-1 – 4.00 Goodwood. lost
£10 win Patent"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
May 18, 2016 at 17:00 #1247617hi mate hope it nice in dubai here in London it is raining very much
Any ante post royal ascot bets mate market for Wokingham up now i like OUTBACK TRAVELLER at 16/1
May 18, 2016 at 21:16 #1247638Hi Darren – not raining here but 42 degrees!!! Too hot!
Haven’t put up any Royal Ascot ante-posts yet apart from Cunco in the Chesham but there are several I like. I will wait to see ground conditions but Arod is a massive price for the Queen Anne. 25-1 about a horse who only narrowly lost out to Solow last year…… I am a big fan of Castle Harbour and would just like to see where they aim him. I think the Jersey is the most likely – you can get 10’s for that. I am also waiting to see if Mix and Mingle goes to the Sandringham plus I like Usherette at 5’s for the Duke of Cambridge, Convey at 12’s for the Royal Hunt, Imperial Aviator at 11-2 for the Tercentenary and Ulysses at 12’s for the King Edward. A bit too far out for AP bets just now but these are on the radar! Good luck with Outback Traveller!

A bad day on Thursday. Probably shouldn’t bet when away from home as it is easy to miss things. If I had seen Yangtze was running earlier I could have got 5-1 and backed him ew (he finished 3rd), in the end I back him at 2’s to win. Not clever.
I have 3 busy weeks coming up when I will be away again so don’t expect too many bets. Lots of good racing tomorrow and I’ll be really interested to see how they go in the Irish 2,000 Guineas. On the face of it Galileo Gold should win again but you just never know with AOB and Air Force Blue HAS to be better than he showed at Newmarket. As much as I like Hugo Palmer I kind of hope AFB runs well as I want them to send The Gurkha to Epsom not Royal Ascot! At the prices it is a race to watch for me. So far I have had just one bet tomorrow on HP’s Zodiakos. The trainer thinks he is much better than an 89 rated horse and he ran really well first time out at Newmarket.
£35ew Zodiakos – 8-1 – 3.05 Haydock non runner

May 21, 2016 at 11:58 #1247887With Zodiakos a non-runner I am going to back an old friend who I don’t think was given he credit he deserved for winning the 2,000 Guineas. I think Galileo Gold is still on the upgrade and will take all the beating. AFB has it all to prove and until he does I wouldn’t touch him. I have also had a little Lucky 15 on all HP’s as his Saturday horses almost always run well.
£80 win Galileo Gold – 7-4 – Irish 2,000 lost
£1 win Lucky 15 GG, Twitch, Walpole, Aventinus"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
May 26, 2016 at 21:09 #1248355So last couple of days of holiday but can’t let another Frankel go unbacked!!

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
May 27, 2016 at 21:05 #1248416Brilliant Nath – we have been laughing at that all day!
Majoris seemed to run a race full of promise – look forward to seeing it tomorrow. A couple of bets for tomorrow.
£75 win Home of the Brave – 3-1 winner
£25ew Convey – 6-1 placed
£75 win Gifted Master – 13-8 lost"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
May 28, 2016 at 15:51 #1248565Good winner and runner up but annoyed not to have done the forecast. I see Washington DC runs tomorrow and I’m surprised he isn’t odds on.
£150 win Washington DC – 6-4 – Naas 4.10 lost

May 29, 2016 at 20:59 #1248662+ £2,331.65 Disappointing from Washington DC – can’t seem to string two decent runs together.

May 30, 2016 at 09:55 #1248803Off to the States for 12 days of work and not sure if I can bet over there so a couple of classic bets to leave you with. I am happy to take on Minding in the Oaks – she should win but she shouldn’t have run in the Irish Guineas. I have gone for two improvers who could run into a place. In the biggie I am obviously gutted not to be getting a run from The Gurkha but I still have Massaat at big odds and I will add Wings of Desire who was my first eye catcher of the year and who will be a much better horse over 12f than 10f and is improving rapidly for a master trainer/jockey combo.
£50ew Architecture – 12-1 – Oaks placed
£50ew Skiffle – 7-1 – Oaks loser
£150ew Wings of Desire – 4-1- Derby loser"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
May 30, 2016 at 14:51 #1248815Have a nice trip Joni.
Just had a few quid on the forecast in the next at Leicester Moorside has some good looking form and Ajman Princess will fill the runners up spot again.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
May 30, 2016 at 15:03 #1248816Never mind I got the runner up in the correct spot in Ajman Princess
I think the Derby has a nice shape to it, yes it’s wide open but that doesn’t mean it lacks in quality. I’ve yet to have a bet but like the front two in the Dante and will probably back them both or just Deauville each way.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

Just had a few quid on the forecast in the next at Leicester Moorside has some good looking form and Ajman Princess will fill the runners up spot again. That was a kick in the teeth for some of the Oaks form.
John Gosden’s 16/1 winner rated 69 giving them 17lbs and a tanking.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
June 1, 2016 at 12:56 #1249066Sorry Steve and Nath just seen your posts. New York is fun thanks Nath. Yes Steve the Oaks looks a really poor race without the fav and it is a bad sign when an older horse can give so much weight and a beating to the 3 year olds.
