Stewarding simply not fit for purpose
Any lezoo backers should rightly be very frustrated
I didn’t have a bet in the race, have watched it a few times now and my honest unbiased opinion is that Dawson has his stick in the wrong hand, carries the runner up significantly across the track, but the margin of half a length is too much to be certain it’s affected the result.

16 days I reckon.
What is the margin then? It was a neck at Doncaster yesterday and that result stood as well.
Dawson admitted in the enquiry he should have reacted quicker but as the rules stand he does not need to bother.

It’s a good question.
For me, it depends on how bad the interference and how far the margin.
In this instance, had it been a head or less I’d have said it wants kicking out.
A neck or half a length and I’m just not sure.
Just my opinion, though.

That being said he was never going to get it as remember the Falmouth back in the day between Elusive Kate and Sky Lantern where Elusive Kate carried Sky Lantern halfway across the course and won by a shorter margin and never got the race in the Stewards room.
Was surprised Dawson only got 3 days as it clearly wasn’t careless riding because he still had his whip in his right hand (and used it once) after the final bump before putting it down.

When an opinion is expressed (by TRFer or trainer) post race we have another race to add to all the others in which to judge the horse on. Does not mean we are aftertiming.If I’d been aftertiming I’d have told you that I saw 21/1 Prosperous Voyage just before the off and as I’ve always held her in greater esteem than the market (backed her for both Guineas and Coronation) and as she was the obvious pace in the race here… LOL
Value Is EverythingYou’d think Inspiral might have started a bit bigger than 1.18 at Betfair, given all these reasons why she was never going to win.
