Even if the voting is a bit dodgy the best song usually wins. Although I don’t always think it at the time. Still don’t like the chicken song, though.

I can’t read them go as I’ve been locked out of my Facebook page on my iPad. I can access Facebook on my computer but am scared to click on anything other than the page itself in case I get locked out of that, too.I’m actually distraught about it because, when I’m away from home it’s my main way of communicating with family and friends…

I have to say Graham Norton’s commentary is peerless. You can tell he loves it but he’s not afraid to give it a gentle mocking when necessary.

I’ve just read up on the meaning behind the Albanian song and love it even more. Graham Norton is a national treasure; can’t imagine a world without him. He is brilliant.

‘Ich Komme, I’ll let you fill in the gaps’ was my personal highlight so far.

Well that was very nearly incredibly awkward.

Crikey. For a while I thought I wouldn’t be watching next years competition. Still can’t stand the winning song. But thank goodness it won…

I am sure the organisers are breathing a big sigh of relief.

I went for Ukraine and Switzerland to finish top 10 and got very lucky as they were 9th and 10th.

Thank – the bloke who’s never existed in the sky – that Israel didn’t win. ;-)

What a shame I missed the whole thing… Not!

Just read your write up on Israel’s entry, Jeremy.
    I agree with every word.

We have an Australian entry every year.
Let’s have a Gazza entry next year. :rose:

When you get people on social media proudly posting that they voted 60 times for Israel, it make a complete mockery of the public vote.

Eurovision should have been binned years ago, anyway. It’s a total anachronism, the music is dire and it’s more a political event than a musical one these days.

It didn’t seem as political this year; countries that were guaranteed to vote for certain other countries weren’t doing so. Until the public vote, that is. I’m afraid that Israel nearly winning ruined the whole evening for me. It left a nasty taste in my mouth. I do like the music, though, and I like to think that I have a fairly good taste in music.

Breakdown of the voting, including the split by jury and popular vote:

    https://eurovisionworld.com/eurovision/2025

If the rules allow anyone to vote 20 times from one number, it is hardly any surprise when some people see a gilt edged opportunity to make a point.

I would have more confidence in the integrity of a Class 6 at Wolverhampton just before Christmas.

“It didn’t seem as political this year; countries that were guaranteed to vote for certain other countries weren’t doing so.”

But in Cyprus, the public vote and jury vote both awarded 12 points to Greece.

Even 1.01 on Betfair wasn’t short enough for that certainty.
