Didn’t watch it, but from the News I gathered that our entry got zero votes from the public. What I read on here I’m not surprised.
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.

Don't mess with mister in between.May 20, 2025 at 12:11 #1730937The UK song didn’t deserve no points, though. It did really well in the first round of voting. I’m still playing the Albania song: far and away the best one this year imo both lyrically and musically. The guy reminded me of Peter Gabriel and the meaning behind the song would have been something he’d write about, too.Out of interest Nathan, what sort of music does your lad like in general? He has very good taste. I must start listening to the sings much earlier next year.
May 20, 2025 at 12:48 #1730941I’m not exactly sure Moehat as he wears the ear defenders so I don’t have to listen to it

May 21, 2025 at 17:12 #1731021I’d never heard of her. Quite pop’y but also quirky and funny. I think your lad is good at picking up a good tune. Thankfully I now have an ear worm of the Albanian song which has superseded the awful UK one. I was so taken with the song that I checked out Albania and it looked like a great place to live in many ways until I read that it’s quite a patriarchal society with high levels of violence against women. Also having problems due to global warming. Health, education, public transport etc are very good, though. And, obviously, their music is good, too.
May 21, 2025 at 17:15 #1731022….mind you, I was so taken with Norways 2019 song that I was all for getting a reindeer and moving in with the Sami…
December 4, 2025 at 21:24 #1746635It may be six months away but it’s all kicking off in Eurovision-land. Four countries out over Israel.
December 4, 2025 at 23:42 #1746640Maybe they should go all out and bring in Russia, North Korea, New Zealand and Columbia as replacements

A few more than that will be needed to make much difference to the UK’s chances

January 13, 2026 at 13:11 #1750333Not surprising when you consider the numbers involved. It’s basically a first past the post system with 25 options. I doubt that winners of the public vote ever receive more than about 10%.
It doesn’t take too much of an orchestrated pro-Israel campaign to shift the dial. The ‘anti-Israel’ vote is split 24 ways unless there is somehow a rival orchestrated campaign to coalesce around one alternative. In some of the smaller countries a couple of thousand or even several hundred is probably enough to give them the ‘douze points’.
Most people simply don’t care either way and of those that do vote, many will still simply vote for their favourite or not bother wasting their money at all if they think it will be hijacked by any sort of political campaign.
Sit back with the popcorn and leave them all to it is my advice.

February 13, 2026 at 19:49 #1754509The new live tour, whatever that was, has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. I think they were perhaps foreseen in this case
March 29, 2026 at 08:59 #1761381We should make this our entry for Eurovision. It is bound to be better than anything we do select.
