It must’ve been pretty dire considering they haven’t been able to do a going report for 2 days.
January 28, 2026 at 16:40 #1752257….. Landrover got stuck
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
January 29, 2026 at 11:46 #1752337Haiti Couleurs not running.
The more I know the less I understand.
January 29, 2026 at 11:52 #1752341I’d say that was a wise move , they’ll be choosing matchstick at Mullins today to see who gets lumbered with Gaelic ..
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
January 29, 2026 at 11:57 #1752343Prob saving him for Cheltenham with more heavy rain now in the forecast DRF
VF x
January 29, 2026 at 11:57 #1752344Probably thought sod running him against 8 Mullins horses and bottoming him. There are easier pickings back home.
January 29, 2026 at 12:08 #1752350Do she need to run him , send him fresh
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
January 29, 2026 at 12:24 #1752354Haiti may go Denman Chase next. That was the race the trainer had in mind for him before they decided to go to Ireland.
January 29, 2026 at 12:26 #1752357Very possible Mike
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
January 29, 2026 at 13:51 #1752368What planet are the bookies on making Gaelic Warrior second fav for this and with Patrick on to make matters worse.
It’d be a miracle if he won this considering his recent form at the track.
Maybe I’ll be proven wrong but I think it’s a waste of the horse running here.
January 29, 2026 at 13:53 #1752369Will be a lot of happy Irish trainers with Haiti Couleurs out.
They can ponder around now at a comfortable pace, sprint over the final 2 and have something left for Cheltenham.
January 29, 2026 at 14:44 #1752374Are the Mullins’ horses going to bypass Cheltenham? He’s running almost everything he has, I mean his eight top 2m5f plus chasers are in this. Never seen this before, but please correct me if I’m wrong.
January 29, 2026 at 15:04 #1752376I’ve bet Grangeclare West for Aintree, but I’m deserving him here for I Am Maximus at 14-1 and Lecky Watson 50-1 ew
January 29, 2026 at 15:12 #1752379Gaelic Warrior is older and stronger, has stamina, goes on the ground. Yes the course form is a negative
Its strange if Mullins runs all of them on this going.. Galopin has the one run behind him and always tends to come on for his first outing. If Gaelic Warrior and Fact to File have a repeat of the John Durkin and you throw Galopin into that scenario on this ground a few bubbles could be popped for Cheltenham. Surely they won’t all run..
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
January 29, 2026 at 15:48 #1752381He needs to get runs into them
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
January 29, 2026 at 16:55 #1752384I would be a little surprised if GW runs – he has run some absolute shockers at the track over the years (1 from 4).
Mullins horses have been a little slower to come to hand this season (needing their first runs) but many have run at this meeting over the years and have gone on to victory at Cheltenham, so I don’t see it as a negative him running a lot of his Cheltenham horses here although clearly Kopek Des Bordes it would appear is not ready and goes straight to Cheltenham instead.
Seperately, given that Rebecca Curtis has said that Haiti Couleurs is not the best traveller and it would involve a 13 hour horsebox trip just to get to Holyhead (as they are not taking horse where that are) to then travel to Ireland, she has made the right decision not to go….good news for Newbury if he does turn up for the Denman though.
January 29, 2026 at 18:52 #1752409it looks a fascinating and competitive renewal.
I would love to see Galopain Des Champs win but can’t back him at that price.
Inothewayurthinking for me at 10s
Lecky Watson ew @50sHope the ground isn’t too tacky- the chase course will ride quicker as they don’t water that during the summer for the flat.
