I think I’ve done the sensible thing by backing both at long odds Grandouet ew and the more obvious Spirit Son to win cos really I have less idea than Nicky who seems to have less idea than you who’s the better horse.

You are of course aware that
Spirit Son
did a piece of work last week that Nicky compared favourably with the mighty
See You Then
,the last time he compared work like that was the Saturday before
Binocular
went on to win the Champion itself. When horses work like that,Money Talks and its pretty obvious from a punters point of view that you expect to see horses prices contract through what they achieve on the track, its when their prices move quickly for no apparent reason that someones let the cat out the back. I hope you haven’t totally deserted your pal
Binocular
for the other 2 as 10/1 is still freely available, except of course with stingey ‘know alls’ Ladbrokes who only go 7/1,JP’s hit them hard me thinks!
January 11, 2012 at 11:16 #386409Don’t try to teach the Value Master a lesson Gord!

Ginge, you can be the ‘Value Master’ forever more for me as nobody can really question what one person sees as value,so you are onto a winner there mate!

"Value" is in the eye of the beholder Gord. Trouble is some people haven’t got a clue on how to find value.

So yes, it can be "question"ed.
Value Is EverythingJanuary 29, 2012 at 10:17 #388870Just been reading that there is quite a lot of rain near Leopardstown this morning, so it could be riding quite heavy today.
January 29, 2012 at 10:25 #388873Official going now soft, yeah.
January 29, 2012 at 12:42 #388891I do like Unaccompanied. Weld doesn’t tilt at windmills.
January 29, 2012 at 13:10 #388892Well, I’m backing the Fly but I was hoping to see a contribution from his biggest fan here. The chap who’s strapline is something like ‘if he runs he wins’ .. Apologies for not remembering his moniker.
January 29, 2012 at 13:35 #388897I can’t believe the price of Hurricane Fly surely he should be 1/4 like Big Bucks was yesterday. Ruby says he working great and that’s enough for me to get stuck in. Looks a gift

Joe, i think you’re referring to (Martin) Irish Stamp. And as HF is running, then i’d imagine that he does think he’ll win. I wouldn’t lay him myself.

I backed Zarkandar for the Champion hurdle a long time ago. So taday I’ve backed Unaccompanied and I hope she runs a good one. Not sure Thousand Stars did himself any favours when not making the pace last time (being a horse who won over 3m in France) but I think Unacompanied can give Hurricane fly a race and the Triumph last year is looking like a very good renewal.
January 29, 2012 at 14:30 #388909It’s all about how fit Hurricane Fly is. Market suggests he’s not 100%. Will stable companion Thousand Stars make it a test for the Hurricane by going off at a good pace? If so he’d be the value (imo). If not Unaccompanied would’ve been value this morning. So no bet for me.
Value Is EverythingJanuary 29, 2012 at 14:35 #388910Impressive!
Value Is EverythingJanuary 29, 2012 at 14:37 #388911I would just like to say a big thank you to all the lovely people who laid him. Won’t matter to me if he stuffs Grandouet now
January 29, 2012 at 14:52 #388915I had a wee mug double (How’s Business and the fly) as they were far and away my two best bets of the day. Couldn’t believe it when I collected @ 2/1!
Some real fools out there! Long live the Fly.
January 29, 2012 at 14:53 #388916Well done Hurdy.
You’ve been having a lot of your short priced winners lately. That’s not a dig, some punters are good at identifying good favourites. Be fascinating to see if they add up in to profit. What about starting another thread on DLAP? Thumbs Up.

Slightly disappointing response that – the reason that I’ve began to frequent this forum is that people are fairly decent and there’s some fair analysis over here.
You’re a very shrewd man Ginger, but that sort of comment showed a lack of class.
