Well minus 8pts for the tips today and they were all disappointing
Ballyadam destiny drifted out to 50s and I had to have a go at that price and it sneaked in 6th for a nice return
Contraposto was flagged but I thought it needed softer going. It stayed on really well to win the last. I couldn’t resist a mug bet on it just in case. So a good days punting but not so good selection wise.
Overall +3.6pts
Tomorrow 2 selections in the 13.30 naas
Jiving jerry was 2nd in this last yr off 1lb lower. Lots on its favour here and it doens’t look a strong race. 2pts Ew at 12/1
Bread and butter is the other one. Consistent placer but held for the win . 1pt Ew at 20/1
At Cheltenham, I had a nice win with Clonguile Way in the spring, he seems up against it at the ratings but maybe worth a small bet at 28s
Unanswered should win the handicap hurdle but is too short. An in play position on the machine for that one.
Bread and butter ran his usual solid race, moving up from the back a slight change in tactics. The horse just lacks a change of gear. Another good place though.
Jiving jerry looked like he was about to launch a challenge and can figure out if he didn’t try or just not good enough. They way he stopped was concerning.
Overall minus 1 point on the day.

Very pleased with Banbridges performance yesterday if anything the jumping was too enthusiastic and he needs to get more economical.
Didn’t really fancy much today and we’ll left alone for me.

Comedaygoday is out again, ex irish trained and some good form behind relatively useful horses (Broomfield hall amongst them). champ jockey up.
Its a tougher race here and she lacks fitness – 4/6 rivals have a run under their belt.
Down to 6 runners now so e/w only really worth it if you have an account with some of the books paying 3 places. I have 1 left so will go 1pt ew at 14/1 3 places.

Hopefully that was just a pipe opener for the selection today, worth one more go next time.

12:42 – Silver Gazette, consistent sort and should be capble of winning one of these. May drift so will wait till tomorrow
13:12- Housemartin has run some nice races in bumpers and I think it has a good chance here 1pt ew at 20/1- 3 places
13:47- I’ll wait till tomorrow as I don’t fancy anything at the prices currently
The next few races are watching briefs for me
15:23- looks like the money may be coming early for Clun Dara so see how that pans out – 1pt e/w 66/1- 5 places.
speculative bet on Courting vikie- 0.5pts ew 33s – 5places. ran like a drain the last few times and interesting to see how she goes first time over fences.
Maybe I should stick to just backing the fringe selections /mentions.

Ex irish trained runner out today at Ascot, now with the good doctor. Poor run on debut but worth another go.
Golden Cosmos – some decent form in ireland, stays well and still young – claimer takes 7 off- Trainer badly out of form is a concern.

Also – combination trifecta 2/8/9 – 0.5 pt line = 3 pts total.
A Nice place staying on, SP of 33s but will settle at the 25s advertised. Heavy ground and that one should go close.
Meatloaf result on the tricast – four Horseman one to watch for next time.

Tomorrows racing is a bit thin for me punting wise but will be great to see APT again.
Haydock 14:25- Allie Rose- been backed from 40s to 12- I’m on at the earlier price luckily so wont tip here.
Run for Oscar is drifting and I think 9/2 is a good price – 2pts win
15:23 Punchestown – a tricky race with a few probably needing the run –
Tyre Kicker for me seemed like there was more to come when it won in the spring, an nice return run and now step up in trip – 8/1 is a good price- 2pts win
Exciting Oscar won the race 2 yrs ago off the same mark off a break – 40/1 0.5pts ew 5place.
