When you try your best, but you don’t succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can’t sheep
    Stuck in reverse

    Goodnight Sheep

    Goodnight Hippo

    It’s a view…
Good to see you in dicky shape Lake and with a friendly bee buzzing about in the bonnet of your double size barrel of laughs anorak. Some had concerns you might have done a Bob Maxwell pishing yourself into the big void and some never come back, so credit in that.
Tank is right I don’t look in that much these days – a fast encroaching seven figure debt keeps me on my toes and adds a certain rigour to my overfilled days. Providing coal for a furnace I have decided to let rip of late and it takes a lot of my energy and some would say I need my head examined, but I seem to need a careworn busy life at the moment – it motivates me, well, so I try to convince myself. Sunakian philosophy or Bidenthink its simply risk taking on the tides of fortune – and its usually the warrior sex or a sheep on the run at the wheel.
I travelled a full nine hours yesterday; tube train coach bus boat bus and… back again – bus boat coach train tube bus and all I consumed was black tea and coffee and not one piece of nourishment until 930pm. I did spot some friendly sheep on and from the top of the first backward bus. I make my life hard.
Another demanding day awaits – the backward hoof hour and the mighty storm that brewed then emptied itself in an unremitting deluge just outside my large window on the world – gave me the poor excuse to sit down for an hour or in the staid company of a black cup of tea and now a cooling black coffee.
The title of this thread should have read We’re in deep sheep but I selfishly targeted it at myself. I squeeze a half a lemon into a pint glass of hot water every morning ( not Sundays – but I corkscrewed myself today because of a half empty bottle of forum wine that caught my view soon after waking), and for the lemon I use an old fashioned glass squeezer. I have found that with a tea spoon I can scrape an extra five to ten percent of ginger value juice out. That’s what the world needs to do – get some more juice out before the lemon dries up for ever and brittles out. It’s a mad Macboat race with a ton of free riders ( hares sunning themselves in the long lush grasses without a care in the world as the atmosphere around heats the tiring tortoises’ houses up to boiling)

I’m orf soon – with the shake of a tired tail. A journey like yesterdays leaves a scar and I was queuing up at Eastleigh station for a coach yesterday wondering whether a day in Hell was any more uncomfortable or rank than the interminable journey I had willingly subjected myself to -to get me to spark.

Sugarshnapps – one more coffee for the tired traveller !

A fun day to all – specially those who find themselves in damp, pooling meadows. Not forgetting the growing band of incontinents ( it was never a problem in the 19th century – they died early ) They seem to shove this problem up Bishop Brennan’s @rse. Every time I put the crouching menace on there’s a smiling middle aged woman adjusting her underpants. It’s enough to make you want to sh*t yerself !

Nine hours of travel is enough to wreck anybody

And all to support Plymouth Argyle. Wow what a good sheep

I am very taken with Bidenspeak. Its where you say something and ten seconds later you forget. And continue to say it

Yup we have some nutty guys at the helm

Now Ardern speak is another matter😡😡😡😡😡

Probably not Tank, but I did edit in a little incontinence on the back end of my long post as an afterthought.

People expose too much of themselves today and some blonde bunny girlies I spotted at a bus stop yesterday brightened the gray landscape – both dressed to catch a cold or maybe something worse – and in broad daylight !

The Victorians kept the best bits all wrapped up, and they were all the fresher for it, when they got down to frisk control.

I feel a bit like Bob Marley today – I have days like that when I change hair styles and take on something bigger than I can chew.

I am back to lurking Ricky to join the 90% – the lazy ones that just read others labours.
This is a quiet place now and you can’t expect to poke your friendly nose in after six or seven years and expect people to get up and suddenly start jive dancing. We are a very retiring staid bunch. Introverts every one.
I enjoy – like art for arts sake, writing for writings sake. You might get an interloper sniff a few words to then sputter something, but you don’t need them. Just write for the lurking community and yourself.

I might get some roller skates but they would make me hungrier so I would eat more cow. You could do this or you could do that or you could do this and that. Or you could sun yourselves in the company of hares.
You decide for the sake of the young guns – if you care to.

You post very quickly Ricky – I missed all of that while posting myself. Strangely enough when I started my long post with
    ” It’s a view ”
I hadn’t read any of your or Tanks intervening posts and it was just luck choosing those words… and made it look as if I had read them.

Its a quirky place indeed !
