Bet Banbridge in this last year, and great effort before unseating at the last. Looks tougher this year, and ground/forecast not kind, but I’ve started off at 10’s, and just got the feeling I’ll be able to get bigger
Final Decs
Sunday morning top up at 25’s, tells its own story
Banbridge 25’s EW
December 6, 2025 at 01:17 #1746710This is a very decent race on paper. It’s more than just a very competitive G2, a lot closer to a G1. I backed Energumene at 9/2 and had a saver on Banbridge at 10/1. Fav is way too short and not always foot perfect. Found A Fifty might not be quite in their class. If the prices are right I might reverse Banbridge and Energumene in a F/C.
December 7, 2025 at 13:36 #1746921Surely Engerumenes gold cup , just don’t like he favourite either so the old boy the play
December 7, 2025 at 13:38 #1746923Found A Fifty At 9-2 for an interest

December 7, 2025 at 14:19 #1746941This heavy ground should be too testing for Banbridge. Not sure why he’s even running.
December 7, 2025 at 14:21 #1746942Energumene for me at 4-1
December 7, 2025 at 14:22 #1746943Blow out pull up perfect prep for KG
December 7, 2025 at 14:57 #1746953Well done Kris , how many times do you have to say the fav cant jump
December 7, 2025 at 14:58 #1746955Nice one Kris
.December 7, 2025 at 14:59 #1746956Majborough is the new El Fabiolo. Should be sent back hurdling before he’s ruined also.
December 7, 2025 at 14:59 #1746957Well done Kris, well deserved, you can’t afford to swing wildly left and jump craply against a good race fit horse. I know Mullins doesn’t normally worry about a horse with a marked preference to adjusting in one direction and being in front exaggerates it, but that’s shades of Yorkhill to me. I don’t like horses which go so far in one direction especially when there is no need for it, you can’t train it out of them, they do it worse under pressure and I do wonder about forelimb soundness when I see that
December 7, 2025 at 14:59 #1746958Majborough is not going to win anything in open company jumping that poorly. He looks like a really difficult ride.
Banbridge should be spot on for Kempton.
December 7, 2025 at 15:00 #1746959You think that was a good prep for the King George HDLG?
December 7, 2025 at 15:04 #1746965“Majborough is the new El Fabiolo. Should be sent back hurdling before he’s ruined also.”
Longer trips and slower tempos and we will likely see the real Majborough.
December 7, 2025 at 15:09 #1746971Majborough is probably better suited to the Ryanair but McManus already has the winner of that race. He wants a Champion Chase horse because it is one of the few races at the Cheltenham Festival he has not won.
December 7, 2025 at 15:10 #1746972It was fine , I don’t think he’ll win though , it wasn’t a vintage KG last year ( the form hasn’t worked out ) and he’ll do well to get placed this year if the horses at the top of the market turn up
