    There is a case to be argued that Defoe probably would have won today if connections had of gone for it. I assume the lively surface was too much of a worry for them?

    Too right, Charles. Right decision not to run. Although Defoe has run well enough on good-firm, today’s surface would be taking a big chance of injury. Has a very rounded action and at best with give underfoot.

    I shoved Crystal Ocean in a treble with two Wesley Ward fillies.

    With Crystal Ocean winning after Shang Shang Shang successful I thought you’d been unlucky, Steve. Am glad you decided to have some doubles too. :good:
