Some nice horses on here. The Nicholls pair were much talked about in the stable tour and that seems to have generated a bit of interest. The trip should suit both. I just wonder whether they might need the run a little to get the freshness off (I have no idea why I think that as both won on reappearance last season, Hitman by miles).

I have a soft spot for Moonlighter, quirky and all as he is, but am sticking with my early season plan of backing well handicapped Tizzard horses. Trip will suit Eldorado Allen and they said this:
“Every piece of work he’s done this season has been alongside Fiddlerontheroof, so he should be fit enough.” RIGHT HO, Eldorado Allen it is. He’s 11-2.

I suppose Hitman should win at the weights but i wouldn’t be taking odds on. His jumping will be tested by Moonlighter who’ll go hard from the front. He’s a rodeo ride at times but if he stands up he could spring a surprise. I wasn’t going to have a bet in this but as he’s 12/1..

Yeah I was going to leave this one alone, however Moonlighter is just too big. Much better off at the weights with the winner this year too.

I think that Hitman will land this, but at 6-4 I don’t know that I want to bet him.

Tizzard really has his horses in form , is it just me but does anyone think Hitman is a bit soft , I’m not convinced he likes a fight
