As I said:-

9/2 Cross Counter looks a good bit of business now.

Generally 2/1 and less now but no doubt something will go wrong.

Never mind. Well done with the Old Persian people.

The St Leger is looking to lie between him and Kew Gardens but the ground could be different at Donny so that makes Kew Gardens a bit skinny for me at 3/1. I would rather take the 8/1 Old Persian because he kept on well today and seems better value all things considered.

Just seeen the race again.
Old Persian was a bit keen early despite a fast 12f pace. Will need to settle better if he’s to stay the St Leger trip and was also being pegged back by Cross Counter late on. Kew Gardens would’ve gone close had he not been dropped so far out the back and staying on best of all. I was against him before today, but allowing for the weight pull put up a performance good enough to win a St Leger and better to come over 1m6f+. Stable will probably be in better form too by September. 3/1 doesn’t look a bad price at all I thought.
