What a National horse.
9-2!!
Well done everyone on.I’m worried about Quai de Bourbon and Mr Vango
April 11, 2026 at 16:16 #1763153Minus the loose horses, Johnnywho would’ve won IMO…
April 11, 2026 at 16:17 #1763154Very concerned about Mr Vango, didn’t see Quai De Bourbon go but hope all are ok.
Impressive performance from the winner.April 11, 2026 at 16:18 #1763155.
April 11, 2026 at 16:23 #1763157One horse looked as though it had its head stepped on by another.
April 11, 2026 at 16:26 #1763159IAM bit of a legend.
Jordans jockey went too soon in hindsight.
Johnnywho ran a good race so no complaints.
So did Iroko.
Jagwar did what i suspected he was capable of doing.
A fair few fallers/unseats early it looked like so still a jumping test.
April 11, 2026 at 16:26 #1763162I think that was Quai de Bourbon but he walked into the ambulance so hopefully just stunned.
April 11, 2026 at 16:27 #1763163What a National Horse I Am Maximus is. If he hadn’t missed his prep last season, he’d be a 3 time winner. He hit so many fences today which made the win all the more impressive.
I’m gutted though. Who knows what would’ve happened had James Bowen not made an absolute bollocks of the final fence. Was on at 133/1 and roaring him on like crazy lol.
Also, while I’d never wish it on people who’d backed him. I was absolutely delighted to see that big fool Patrick on the deck at the first. They totally deserved that for taking the ride off Hayes.

Another GN where i fall into the trap of looking for ‘value’, instead of the more obvious. LOL!!
April 11, 2026 at 16:29 #1763165Johnnywho was definitely unlucky whether he would have won we will never know.
The more I know the less I understand.

That’s what Ruby expressed on his GN preview three days ago and Lydia wasn’t quite buying it….. He’s still the master.

I love Grangeclare West but couldn’t bring myself to back him with Patrick on and also quite enjoyed watching the selfish arse eating turf at the first. That family do enough crying about Tony Mullins being jocked off Dawn Run then they took what is probably the best chance Brian Hayes will ever get of winning the race away from him.

I wouldn’t be too critical of Jones. He gave the horse a good, enterprising ride and has only been beaten by two good horses, the winner being perhaps the best ever National horse if going by ratings alone. I am not convinced Jordans would have won if Jones had held onto him for longer.

You needed a heart of stone not to laugh.
April 11, 2026 at 16:45 #1763182Trivia question: Which horse was lying on the floor the 2nd time before Becher’s? Was it taking a sunbath?
April 11, 2026 at 16:47 #1763183Will need to watch the replay, but I thought it was Banbridge.
April 11, 2026 at 16:51 #1763186Spare a thought for Nicky Henderson having trained a two time Grand National winner.
