    What happened to Minella Crooner?

Was number 40, but not named in the Monday’s list as either a runner or a non-runner.

Twig getting in makes me happy.

    I’m currently sat on

    Iroko doubled with constitution hill

    Kandoo kid @25’s
    Twig @75’s
    Hewick @22’s

    All to win

    Beauport @33’s
    Minella cocooner @25’s

    Each way 5 places.

I’ll probably add Meetingofthewaters on the day as I feel his price is the one most likely to hold steady but with increased places.

Bryony ruled out of the ride on Stay Away Fay as she is required to ride the double green horses in France.

As far as I can see there are only two run of the mill races at Nancy on Saturday. Surely they could have let her go.

Declared for The Topham on Friday. Obs could change re the 48 hour decs on Wednesday.

“Bryony ruled out of the ride on Stay Away Fay”

Blimey, that’s a bit late for the PN yard. I thought her ride on SAF was a cert.

I’ll definitely add Appreciate It once he’s confirmed, while I’ll maybe have a smaller bet on my old pal Hewick, though completely missed the price. Given the prices I may switch to Beauport instead. Toss up between Hewick and Beauport

Is everything ok with Nick Rockett?

Still 16/1 with Corals and Ladbrokes, but more than double that with Hills and 46 on the machine.

Seems Jonathan Burke has now jumped off Stay Away Fay to ride Minella Cocooner for Mullins.

The more I know the less I understand.

My full list, as of today, incl a few i’ve already mentioned in here:

    Kandoo Kid 28s
    Meetingofthewaters 25s
    Threeunderthrufive 66s each way
    I Am Maximus 11s
    Minella Cocooner 20s
    Three Card Brag 25s

I’ll prob add 2 more on Saturday. And i think i’ll go in again on Threeunderthrufive each way if the big price is still there; i really fancy this one to nab a place, esp with (likely) 6 or 7 places avail on Saturday.
    :good:

I’m not sure I’m impressed about Burke riding Minella cocooner
I was hoping Danny would ride it.not much I can do about it as the money is down.40/1 and went in again at 25s but my enthusiasm has dwindled.
    I’ve also done Hewick 55/1
    Stumpstown 14/1
    Monbeg genius 35/1
And a win bet on Percival Legallois 15/1.

The last time I backed the winner was 2008

Top ratings for the race are:

    184 Broadway Boy
    182 Three Card Brag
    181 Hyland
    178 Minella Indo
    177 Hitman
    176 Duffle Coat
    175 Coko Beach
    175 Vanillier

It should be borne in mind that I had difficulty rating a few up the top of the weights as there’s a few with little or no handicap form.

I’ll take the top 4 each-way 6 places with current best prices:

    Broadway Boy 80/1
    Three Card Brag 22/1
    Hyland 22/1
    Minella Indo 33/1

With the ground riding like it this, and likely to get quicker (even if they water) how many of the current GN runners will get pulled? And poss too late for reserves to get in?

What is the cut off time? Is it on the day itself and tom evening?

The cutoff for reserves is 1pm tomorrow. Hopefully one day that is extended to 10am the day of the race.

    :good: Peter.

Well, there must be an increasing chance some will only get ‘pulled’ on Sat morn, or even later, because of the ground. A number of trainers will (likely) just wait i suspect.
Could the numbers, by race time, be down to, say, 30?
