Wish I’d taken your 40’s Cocooner VTC, great price.
Can see Corbetts Cross running well and Ontheropes, but you’ve surprised me with Jungle Boogie. I agree there’s probably a good race in him. He was in my notebook for Aintree this year in either Bowl or Melling. But looking at how he pulled hard in the Gold Cup, do you really think he’ll stay? Monty’s Star – from the same stable – looks more of a Grand National type.Value Is EverythingApril 28, 2024 at 13:08 #1692133I think that the 33-1 for Corach Rambler is a fair price. I’d like to bet him just now, but I’m just conscious that should he run well at Punchestown on Wednesday, then any chance of his mark reducing will be gone.
I’ve decided that he’s my second string for now, and that the 50-1 for Desertmore House makes more sense. I’ve taken that as I think he’ll definitely make the cut next season
April 28, 2024 at 17:54 #1692155Yeah GT, happy with the 40’s, though there’s no excuses for not taking 66’s. Asleep at the wheel. That run yesterday I thought was very encouraging, and I’d say all roads lead here now. Him and Ontheropes likely to be my main focus until entries.
I’ll definitely miss the 25’s on Corbetts Cross, as I’m not having loads this far out, and I can see him being popular and getting trimmed.
Totally get your point on Jungle Boogie, based on that Cheltenham run, but his younger days I thought had stayer all over him. He’s one I’ll be following wherever he goes next season, and I get it might not be here. I do like the 66’s, but given his frailty, could bet him till he’s NRNB

April 30, 2024 at 11:04 #1692306I’ve had American Mike added to bet365 market and they’ve offered a very fair 50/1 which I’ve had a stab at, each way.
April 30, 2024 at 18:15 #1692353Added Montys Star 25s ew 5 places for now.
May 14, 2024 at 12:09 #1694287I think next year’s race is to be held on April 5th, a week earlier than this year.
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.

October 6, 2024 at 11:51 #1709162Surely they’ll have a go in graded races , the jumping is a worry though
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
October 6, 2024 at 12:29 #1709165If I Am Maximus goes for the GN next year he’ll be giving away a hell of a lot of weight.
His ability isn’t far behind the best chasers around now and will be weighted accordingly. Being “well in” is a lot more important these days and IAM is unlikely to be so well in in 2025. That said, his owner probably has horses of even better potential for the Gold Cup, so it is possible he’ll go to Aintree again. Doubt his rival jockeys will give him such an easy time all the way around the inner. The rail possibly important to his “improved” round of jumping. Even so, despite being a Grand National winner he’s still not a good jumper.Value Is EverythingOctober 6, 2024 at 21:00 #1709261Yeah agree Gingertipster

November 9, 2024 at 16:54 #1712290Twig was given a good write up by the trainer outlining the seasons plan of hurdles then one prep over fences before a tilt at the this.
66/1 e/w 4 placesNovember 24, 2024 at 16:25 #1713938Fact To File’s exploits today wouldn’t have done Montys Star’s chances in this any harm if indeed this is the path HDB takes with him.
November 24, 2024 at 16:33 #1713948I think they’ll give Monty at least one
chance to be a Gold Cup horse Mike. Although agree would be a good GN horse. - AuthorPosts
