Definitely no more bets for me now, which means I can safely have a look at this.

After yesterday, The Shunter makes massive appeal, but no idea where he goes.
I fell into the “JP trap” for a few years in this, but as much as he throws a few at it, he hardly mops up every year. That said, his A Wave Of The Sea, is probably my #1 for this right now. 16’s NRNB seems fair, but not fair enough for me right now.
I’d love to see Umbrigado given a chance, but if he does go to Cheltenham, I think it could be for The Plate.
Others who make big appeal are……
Sizing Pottsie
Eldorado Allen
Pont AvenHappy to wait just now.
March 8, 2021 at 00:02 #1527908Zanza needs a strong look here on a line through Sky Pirate and Ibleo. He was hacking alongside both and giving them a good bit of weight when falling lto. 12/1 looks more than fair.
March 8, 2021 at 02:44 #1527995My two ante post selections are not that fuisse 25s and embittered 20/1
Really fancy embittered to run a big race
Can definitely see the angle with zanza too
March 8, 2021 at 07:03 #1527999Worth remembering this race will be run on the Old Course this year.
Us and Them is starting to look well handicapped if he still has what it takes to win.
March 8, 2021 at 21:23 #1528155Embittered for me in this and i’m also lining up a swing at Bun Doran each way. Tumbled down the weights this season but his festival form is pretty solid and he’s only 10 so hardly past it.
March 8, 2021 at 21:55 #1528157Zanza is an interesting one. Wouldve been involved last time. The winner of that race gone up 18lbs since then. The 2nd has gone up 17lbs since then. Zanza’s mark has been left unchanged.
March 8, 2021 at 22:02 #1528159I’ve backed three in this NRNB (didn’t expect Shunter to go when I backed the third last week but I think he might go here now).
Embittered 12s – lower Chase mark than his third in the county, has been tee’d up for this and the demands of this race is perfect.
The Shunter 16s – Saddle slipped when he was coming with a good run at Leop and a mark of 140 is more than fair. Fast 2 miles is perfect for him IMO. Would’ve preferred if he came here fresh than after Kelso at the weekend but if he does run here he’s still 7-10lbs well in.
Zanza 12/1 – As Mike says above, he’s very well handicapped on his last run when he crumpled on landing when challenging Ibleo & Sky Pirate who are now both 15-20lbs higher than they were in that race.
Entoucas makes quite a few small mistakes, couldn’t be having him myself for all he has the talent.
March 10, 2021 at 09:17 #1528878Pricewise tipped Zanza up last week which is why the price has plummeted from 33/1 into single figures. Can’t stand the man, but every word he said re this horse is spot on. I take the view he’s 8-10lbs well in with a lovely profile for the race. On at a much bigger price that Segal which is satisfying, and I think he’ll take a hell of a lot of beating, and certainly wouldn’t put anyone off 9s or 10’s.
March 10, 2021 at 12:11 #152889010/1 Zanza still available with Hills.

March 15, 2021 at 16:53 #1529654My top 6 for this event are:
Zanza 178
Not That Fuisse 171
Bun Doran 168
Amoola Gold 164
On The Slopes 161
Theinval 161I’ll take the top three against the field as no reason to put me off any of them.
Zanza (7/1) looks to have been saved for this race. Was going very easily when coming down here in a race won by progressive Sky Pirate and won well at Newbury previously. Looks a animal still on the up over fences.
Not That Fuisse (25/1, 28/1 in a place) has solid chase form in the book from the autumn and has been prepared for this with two decent Jumpers’ Bumpers efforts. Looks very good value at the price.
Bun Doran (28/1) has dropped steadily in the ratings and if anywhere near his best can get involved off a mark of 150. Not disgraced behind Politologue last year in the Champion Chase.March 16, 2021 at 18:35 #1530070One of my main hcap picks of the week is glen forsa in this , he,s fragile but had a wind op and I think he,s great e.w value
March 16, 2021 at 19:46 #1530094Zanza for me as well. Only 7/1 for me though. Also added Or Jaune de Somoza, based on his last run he should be close to Ecoutas, who is second favourite.
Zanza 7/1
Or Jaune de Somoza 33/1 EWMarch 16, 2021 at 20:14 #1530103Not That Fuisse has got Skeleton plot job written all over him. He and Entoucas will be my two.
March 16, 2021 at 21:48 #1530118Like Not That Fuisse – who looks to have been laid out for this – and Amoola Gold.

So don't run, just like the others always do
March 16, 2021 at 21:59 #1530124This is my absolute worst race of the season. Had a look at my record in this, and a few other races where I thought my record was particularly poor, and this was miles my worst.
Never had the winner, and only two placed. Desperate stuff.
I’ve went with one who fits my usual approach, Or Jaune De Somoza, and as mentioned in first post, I also like Sizing Pottsie, who wouldn’t be my usual type.
Took 33’s for Somoza, and hoping for same on Pottsie.
