Got him on a reasonably good day but still hanging right to the extent that he was almost being ridden on one rein, clearly better going that way and with Cheltenham/Aintree a no-go quite possibly that a good potential target down the line could be at the Punchestown Festival as likely to at least get yielding ground or something similar to today’s ground – with SFS, it looks like as soon as he doesn’t jump off up front he sulks and drops the lot…maybe he needs a break to be freshened up or one more try with some headgear.

Good to see Goshen show some good form.

Right handed track where he can race prominently (without too many prominent runners) and yes, it may be he’s also best this time of year. Wouldn’t be a surprise if reappearing quick for the Kingwell. :good:

I would like to personally apologise to Goshen for saying “he’s poncing a living as a racehorse” on numerous occasions in the last year.

If we ever meet, I have sugar lump in my pocket with his name on it.

I’m now off to hide behind the sofa from a no-doubt exultant TTC.

The mother of all cliff horses (IanDavies Tm ;-) ), continues to have his backers many points in clover! I was half worried the bugger was cocking his jaw LEFT at one point to be fair!

Dead chuffed for connections, especially Jamie Moore who seemed devastated at Lingfield. The Kingwell surely beckons as GT says, as does this years Christmas Hurdle. Good Gosh! :yahoo:

Fair play, TTC – I richly deserved THAT.

And well done, I hope you got the lot.

    Well done TTC. :good:
imo Goshen should stick to right-handed courses.
After Wincanton miss Cheltenham and Aintree and go Punchestown?

Not a big fan of the yard but seeing this result yesterday made me smile (quite an achievement these days).

There’s a big gap between the Kingwell and Punchestown.

Anything on the flat? Would the Sagaro be too close to Punchestown?

There is no reason why Goshen shouldn’t follow up in “his race” at Wincanton on Saturday.

Somewhere along the line the horse who was in the process of winning the Triumph by ten lengths when he fell at the last decided he didn’t like left-handed tracks after all.

But he won this race last year, he won at Sandown Park last time out and he comes out a whole pound in front of Adagio on weight-adjusted OR.

This promises to be a cracker.

The Gosh looks short enough tomorrow. Much as I love him, he could decide to run in ever-decreasing right-handed circles if he is in a bad mood. Also, Adagio in particular looks potentially dangerous.

I shall happily cheer him on without investment.

I am prone to a great deal of anthropomorphism where Goshen is concerned.

The notion of him being this talented, but altogether far-too-intelligent individual, who has sussed he can barely do a tap on a racecourse yet continue to live the life of Reilly at his yard is deeply engrained.

Right now, he’s probably watching Heathrow on Big Jet TV on the 54-inch plasma screen in his box, personally mounted on the wall by Gary Moore in pathetic gratitude to Goshen for consenting to deliver at Sandown Park last time out.

Don’t get me wrong, Goshen hasn’t got a Betfair Exchange account – he won’t be laying himself to lose.

    He doesn’t need the money.

It’s just about whether he can actually be bothered to try tomorrow.

Horses like Adagio which might actually require him to come off the bridle just aren’t his cup of Earl Grey nowadays, you see.

    This one will be fascinating!

My favourite flat horse is Hawk Wing. My favourite jumps horse is Harchibald. I have realised my taste in horses reflects my taste in bonkers women. No wonder I have wound up in the Al Down camp of liquid refreshment.

    What the…

Just as I read this post guess what my girlfriend already has on her TV?

Big Jet TV (first time she’s put this station on too).

What are the odds of that?

This is, quite possibly, my favourite three consecutive sentences posted on TRF, err, EVER.

    Maximum respect.

“What are the odds of that?”

Possibly a related contingency, GT – I hadn’t even heard of the channel, but it’s been all over Twitter all day.

“My favourite jumps horse is Harchibald”

I’m still having nightmares about his Champion Hurdle defeat against Hardy Eustace.
I was all over Harchibald in the betting for that CH. When he cruised up to the last i was loving it! What followed…argh….still remains my most frustrating win punt ever…and prob will remain so, for ever
