tbh George, your explanation suggests you do not fully understand what bringing Racing in to disrepute means.
Value Is EverythingMarch 3, 2021 at 22:34 #1527001A 6 month ban and a 100k fine is the likely outcome from Friday

Arrived by ship would be my guess
March 3, 2021 at 22:40 #1527005If only gets 6 months from the Irish Authorities, Lazarus; I think the BHA will ban him from Britain for longer… And not able to run horses at Cheltenham is sure to keep the good horses away from Elliott’s stable. The more lenient the Irish are the more I believe the British will feel they need to be severe – in order to safeguard our sport from the anti-racing brigade.
Value Is EverythingMarch 3, 2021 at 22:45 #1527006Of course he brought racing into disrepute.
He showed a total disrespect to the body of an animal who had given it’s all to try to win races for him and whose heart had given out because he had given his all and this idiot then comes along and thinks oh I know lads I’ll jump all over this horse’s dead body and you take some photos of me on my phone doing a victory salute…
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 3, 2021 at 22:50 #1527007Do we know whether it was Ms Harrington that actually took the picture?
Value Is EverythingMarch 3, 2021 at 22:52 #1527008I wonder why Gigginstown hasn’t stated anything about Morgan. They don’t seem to be that bothered, I guess. Just another horse for the abattoir.
March 3, 2021 at 22:54 #1527009Hello old friends. I am told an arrangenment is in place. Gordon will be taking a leave of absence. The license will be transferred to David Broad thereby saving the livelihoods of 80 people (for now). Another Davy will be running the place however
March 3, 2021 at 22:55 #1527010Don’t see how you can come to that conclusion, Ruby.
Are you sure that isn’t your bias working?Value Is EverythingMarch 3, 2021 at 22:58 #1527011Told by who, Lazarus?
Value Is EverythingMarch 3, 2021 at 23:07 #1527012I understand the BHA’s fully Ginger. I note there was a decided change in tone from their statements today than from earlier in the week. Although not immune to it, the IHRB are not required to be as deferential to the pressures of the red tops and certain misinformed lobbies as their Albion brethern. They will act accordingly and treat the case on its merits. In fact judging by the marked shift in tone from the BHA I would venture that the two bodies have liased on the matter already.
I look forward to you filling my coffers in two weks
March 3, 2021 at 23:10 #1527013Ginge, wouldn’t you expect a short statement about the dead horse, if it really meant anything to them?
And where do you think that most horses go after dying on the gallops? I doubt that a funeral ceremony takes place for gallops fatalities…. it’s not bias, it’s common sense.March 3, 2021 at 23:12 #1527014His behaviour was disgraceful, his first apology risible, and it may not have been an isolated incident, but a sign of the culture within his stable that just happened to be caught on camera.
A charitable explanation might be that it was gallows humour, which all medics are familiar with. The tragic muse embraces tragedy, the comic muse deflects it, a way of bearing the unbearable.
Some sanction is appropriate, but destroying his career is excessive; there is such a thing as redemption.March 3, 2021 at 23:12 #1527015I read the same as what Lazarus has said said earlier. Davy Russell running the yard, with David Broad being the official licensed trainer.
It was only on a football forums ‘Other Sports’ section though, so hardly a safe source.
BUY THE SUN
March 3, 2021 at 23:15 #1527016David Broad is 3 from 133 in the past five years. How on earth could he take over such a string. The Morons, I mean the Morans, could have other things in mind.
And if Elliott has to take six month holiday, he won’t be allowed on a racetrack nor on the gallops.
