BBC …meant to deliver news not views
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 2, 2021 at 19:24 #1526674The BBC hates racing. No surprise there.
March 2, 2021 at 19:26 #1526675yep I agree too ham! This twitter account seems to be only after attention rather than actually releasing anything, that should speak for itself. If this is the case then the person writing such rubbish needs a very very good beating.
March 2, 2021 at 19:26 #1526676Scorned now giving more info on the alleged other woman involved …. He,s punching above his weight
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 2, 2021 at 19:28 #1526677I don’t do twitter but…
No, don’t take these accounts down.
Don’t we / everyone have the right to know what has taken place?
If anything so vile has happened imo it needs to come out.
Racing needs to know even if it hurts Racing.
Can’t be swept under the carpet.Value Is EverythingMarch 2, 2021 at 19:28 #1526678You’ll love this chaps (nothing to do with racing, but a BBC article I just read 3 minutes ago)
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-56251452
“Streaming platform Twitch has backtracked on a new policy to change its spelling of “women” after criticism from transgender communities.
The company had said it would use the term “womxn” in order to be more gender neutral in its language.
But LGBT communities online called the change transphobic because it suggested trans women were not women.
“We’re committed to growing from these experiences… and ensuring we’re inclusive to all,” the company tweeted.
“Womxn” has become a popular alternative word for people who say that the term “women” has patriarchal roots. Some believe the term is inclusive of trans women and some non-binary people, but that is contested.”
loooooooooool what?!
March 2, 2021 at 19:29 #1526679If the cattle prod video does exist and is released theres going to be alot of stupid people on social media defending GE right now on the basis that it was a one off mistake. Even more stupid than the photoshop mafia..if thats possible.
March 2, 2021 at 19:32 #1526680I’m not fussed what Elliott gets up to in his private life.
Its his mistreatment of horses that I’m worried about if the Labik rumours are true…
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 2, 2021 at 19:33 #1526681The Scorned twitter account should be ignored. Clearly someone with a grudge against GE and racing.
March 2, 2021 at 19:35 #1526682tbh If someone told me a cattle prod was used on a Gordon Elliott horse without hearing the name of the horse… I’d immediately think it was Labaik.
A temperamental racehorse that often refused to start.
So wouldn’t be at all surprised if this is genuine.
Value Is EverythingMarch 2, 2021 at 19:38 #1526684If this Labaik stuff is true ffs. I can’t believe it is. If it is, IF, he should be looking at porridge. I’m very hopeful its just arseholes jumping on the bandwagon. Please.
BUY THE SUN
March 2, 2021 at 19:45 #1526686To a certain extent I’d agree Nathan but this seems to the catalyst for the images and vids coming out , someone close to the stable ( or more likely in ) is responsible for the leaks
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 2, 2021 at 19:46 #1526688Indeed Ginge, as soon as I heard it was Labaik I wondered what the rumoured method to make him start was going to be.
March 2, 2021 at 19:48 #1526689I should’ve added… The person putting this out will also know that Labaik would be believed more than other horses in the yard.
Value Is EverythingMarch 2, 2021 at 19:49 #1526690Thats what the rumours are. Fall out with Labaiks owners (supposed gangsters) and they are behind the released photo after blackmail payments stopped. Blackmail payments have started back again with the threat of releasing cattle prod video if they stop. In fairness theres that much being said its hard to keep up.
March 2, 2021 at 19:51 #1526691Nathan, the Labaik death or let’s say GE’s information about his demise was pretty strange. He admitted only a few months ago, that the horse had died a few months prior to his statement.
Labaik was a quirky character and there was very much controversy regarding his ownership, but the racing community always wants to know when one of it’s superstars is retired or in his case put down. Don’t know what the rumours are about, but I didn’t like the smell of that information at all.
Ginge is right, we should know everything there is to know. What was the exact cause which resulted in Labaik’s death?
March 2, 2021 at 19:52 #1526693Poseidon – lol oh my if that’s true you couldn’t write a better Scorsese script.
