I dont subscribe to the *Ban For Life* Internet lynch mob mentality we see so much of all over the web, but if Elliott lost his licence for a year he would have few complaints.
Regardless of what HRI do, I would like to see the BHA make it impossible for owners with horses trained by Elliott to run them at either the Cheltenham or Aintree Festivals unless they were physically moved to another yard – none of this licence transferred to a family or associates name nonsense.
The punishment has to hurt Elliott – and be seen to hurt him – in a real and meaningful financial sense.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"March 1, 2021 at 18:01 #1526186The uncaring nature of this photo makes me wonder if heart attacks are a regular occurrence – more regular than other trainers.
Although just because he’s been disrespectful to the dead it doesn’t mean he’s disrespectful to the living… However, Elliott’s attitude is extremely worrying. Are horses mere commodities to him? If that is so is he more likely to use performance enhancing drugs?
You may remember in the Jim Bolger thread where I said about certain trainer’s horses seemingly suddenly coming to form as soon as big meetings begin.
Value Is EverythingMarch 1, 2021 at 18:11 #1526189The issue they have is punishing Elliott without punishing the owners , I’ve a feeling the BHA are going to be a lot harsher than the Irish will be , while Mick Fitz spoke well I felt Chapman held back on his view …can you imagine how McCririck would have said !

March 1, 2021 at 18:28 #1526193The Daily Mail is going to town with it. There must be about four articles now, including a very hostile one from Martin Samuels.
We can slag the paper off as much as we like but it reaches a lot of people. And all the articles have the offensive image, in case anyone has not got the message.
March 1, 2021 at 18:34 #1526194Don’t see how Elliott can be allowed to train anything at Cheltenham. Any winner will be booed in to the winner’s enclosure, with owners asked about how they feel about the photo.
Owners will not be punished, HDLG. Whether to stay with Elliott is entirely their decision.
Value Is EverythingMarch 1, 2021 at 18:36 #1526195Oops, forgot there won’t be any racegoers.
Value Is EverythingMarch 1, 2021 at 18:45 #1526197Cork, who is the Mails rage aimed at, Elliott it racing in general?
Not that I have any interest in the views of that rag but unfortunately their website is one of the biggest in the country.
March 1, 2021 at 18:47 #1526199“Makes me wonder if heart attcks are a regular occurence more regular than other
How can that mean that he has willingly mistreated all his other horses to the point their having heart attacks en masse
You DO NOT get as successfull as elliot is by having a welfare issue
STOP making up baseless consipiracies and focus on the one point at hand. The picture.
Unbelievable.

You lot are mad. Absolutely mad.
March 1, 2021 at 18:59 #1526204I’m sure Gordon was great around horses most of the time, but an instance like this erases it all. Why would anyone pose for a photo like that?
March 1, 2021 at 19:02 #1526205it’s the underlying connotations behind the photo that bother, makes him seem like the kind of chap that doesn’t respect the horses in the way he should.
March 1, 2021 at 19:06 #1526206The Daily Mail web site receives at present over 63m web visitors per month – 33% from the USA.
Here is the article @Cork All Star mentioned:
It has been kept in the Sports section for now.
