With Al Boum Photo.?
Possibly, I wouldn’t rule it out. He will need a harder run race thoughGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
December 5, 2020 at 15:10 #1513168Santini was only beaten a neck so they all must be boats
Al Boum Photo must be a boat with a slightly longer neck perhaps.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
December 5, 2020 at 15:16 #1513173Minella indo beats them both imo
December 5, 2020 at 15:27 #1513181Reckon Bristol de Mai just pushed the Betfair Chase trophy up his mantelpiece a bit to make way for the Cotswold Chase one.
December 5, 2020 at 15:35 #1513182Its not run at Haydock Green.
December 5, 2020 at 15:36 #1513183Ff91 possibly. I backed him as a backup the other day.
December 5, 2020 at 15:37 #1513184If anyone will reverse the form it’ll be lostintranslation , Bristol has already had his GC ..at haydock , FF if champ can make that many mistakes and still outstay Indo I can’t see him winning either
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
December 5, 2020 at 15:48 #1513189The Many Clouds was rendered farcical by the fences missed out due to the low sun.
Why do tracks continue to run big races at a time of day when the sun could clearly be an issue? This race could have been run an hour before.
December 5, 2020 at 15:58 #1513192Agreed cork , at this time of year start at 11 or 11.30 , esp if no crowd going there …it’s common sense

December 5, 2020 at 16:09 #1513197Itv want the big races run as a focal point of their coverage most likely
December 5, 2020 at 16:48 #1513211Anyone who dismisses Santini off the back of today’s run needs to give their heads a wobble!
He’s ran a better seasonal debut this time than he did last season where he only just beat now Mcginty! I know lake view lad isn’t much better but he’s also beaten native river here.
He then went on to be 2nd in the gold cup where there was no pace so wouldn’t have suited at all, if native river was in the gold cup last season he would have won.
Anyway, it’s been made very clear that he takes loads of work to get fully fit so why would this season be any different when he made just as bad if not worse reappearance last season?
I’m not saying he will win the gold cup but I’m saying to write him off after today is ridiculous given the points I’ve made above.
December 5, 2020 at 17:50 #1513223After 3weeks of idleness the GC thread sure has taken off again today !!

December 5, 2020 at 22:25 #1513257Another rational explanation on Santini’s run, (apart from the bit calling him slow).

December 5, 2020 at 23:43 #1513271To rule out Santini on today’s run would be foolish, agreed, although hearing people say he’s run a cracker today is absolute nonsense.
True Aintree and isn’t his course and he needs something far stiffer (oo er) to bring the best out in him, although going down to what’s essentially a mid 150s handicapper who is rising 11 and hardly a speedster in his own right can’t really be spun in too positive a light.
Agreed he is still in the conversation, although I couldn’t possibly make an argument for him beating Al Boum Photo and possibly Champ come March.
December 12, 2020 at 01:15 #1513896Can’t believe I don’t have a Gold Cup bet on, and it’s nearly Christmas.
I had a notion to take Master Tommytucker after Haydock, but it’s hard to justify betting him before tomorrow, as I’d like to see how he acts round there, and whether there’s more to come from him. I know he’s a bit of a daft shout, but I do like him.
The Mullins duo of Melon, and particularly Carefully Selected both make some appeal at 66’s. Owners had two in The Supreme, so not a lost cause that Melon could come here, but I realise Ryanair makes more sense. On that basis, I might just make Carefully Selected as the one I’d be more likely to bet.
The one I’ll almost certainly bet is Delta Work at 33’s. Yes, he came up short last year, but I’m expecting a big run at Leopardstown, and if nothing else, might get a decent trade. I know the cons with him, but at 33’s, I’m close to betting.
December 12, 2020 at 12:05 #1513943A few people on here are putting up delta work , no doubt he is a talented horse but again it’s like santini it’s finding a reason as to why he will reverse the form , one question , am I the only one who thinks Alboum photo maybe doesn’t get the love he deserves , probably not helped by not being seen often but we are talking about a horse going for 3 in a row next year

December 12, 2020 at 12:34 #1513948A blind man could see reasons why Santini can reverse the form
