Indeed Jac ME might be a serious danger, particularly with JF up, as we don’t have any of those riders striving from the front
. But to be honest I only play Laccario at D’dorf, in my eyes he’s far too good to be ruined by Pedroza
May 26, 2019 at 09:31 #1441658I respect your knowledge of the track and the jockeys hein and looking at the run of Iconic Choice in the Guineas she finished off her race really well they must have thought so too to send her over for this race and I’ll be really interested to see how she gets on.
I have a win on Main Edition and reverse forecast with Iconic Choice, look forward to this one.
Well done with Barney Roy, let’s hope he has winning season.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 26, 2019 at 17:35 #1441709Well done with Main Edition Jac. I had both Wild Illusion & Dream Castle in my fantasy stable. Still no points…!
May 26, 2019 at 18:01 #1441785Thanks Tonge Main Edition has blossomed into a lovely filly and will be worth following this season wherever she goes
I have to thank hein really for flagging up the race as I had no idea she was declared to run at Dusseldorf.
Hope I can find a stream to watch it on.Back to the Godolphin comp, I also had Wild Illusion and Dream Castle so slow start for us, and Godolphin, at the moment Tonge but it will improve.
Have found the flat season very hit and miss so far but looking forward to Royal Ascot when we should start to rack up some points..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 26, 2019 at 18:25 #1441786Well spotted with Main Edition Jac, you have some eye around the parade rings for
identifying potential winners. I hope you had a few shillings on
Bad luck with Wild Illusion and Dream Castle Tonge. I had Dream Castle myself I didn’t
even know Wild Illusion was running in this when I put my stable on or I’d definitely
have stuck him in as well. I’ve had a few results, mainly places but one win with Silent
Wave. I got 40 points each with Dubai Legacy, Final Frontier and Sacred Dance so I’m on
240 points at this stage. Initially I had drawn up a stable (Blue Wonders) all based on
the Royal Ascot meeting, but had a change of heart when I thought that it was still a way
off, and much could happen between now and then so I went more short sighted. It means I’ll
have to use a stable change before Ascot, whether that’s costly in the long run I’ll find out
later.
Best of luck all
May 26, 2019 at 22:14 #1441809I backed main Edition today.
Didn’t realise he was a Godolphin horse
why wasn’t he wearing blue..

May 26, 2019 at 23:01 #1441817Well done Nathan
I managed to find a video of the race on the internet she was very impressive and asserted just at the right time great ride from Joe Fanning.I don’t think she is a Godolphin horse though owned by Saif Ali, could be a sister operation of some sort.
She isn’t amongst horses in the Fantasy League although maybe the cheque books came out after that race today.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 26, 2019 at 23:03 #1441818She’s not a Godolphin horse Nathan, I think Jac and Hein were talking about
the German 1000 Guineas, and Jac mentioned she had seen Main Edition at the
Craven meeting and fancied her for the race. Just an aside and not related to
the competition.May 26, 2019 at 23:05 #1441819You beat me to it Jac
May 26, 2019 at 23:12 #1441822Sorry, got lost in the conversation.
Thanks for clearing it up, thought I was losing the plot…
again, and I called her a he..

May 26, 2019 at 23:12 #1441823Oh sorry Nathan just realised what you meant..thanks Graham.
Yes it was hein posting up that he had bet on Barney Roy on his first outing since stud and that he fancied a horse for the Dusseldorf 1000 Guineas that had run at Newmarket and as you can see our conversation above went a bit off track but it made me look at the race and see Main Edition running.
The rest is very nice history for us.
Still think they should buy her though
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 26, 2019 at 23:21 #1441824Very well done Jac and Nathan
fantastic punting from you with ME
We just don’t have a rider to compete with Fanning from the front, at least our Axana saved the 2nd.
I even won with Laccario, and in France Quest the Moon took the honours for Germany, unfortunately for Joni where he played the Godolphin horse, which is at least some relation to the thread
Sea the Moon might become a good stallion, so far his first 3y do very well
May 26, 2019 at 23:41 #1441847Lol Graham ..we’re quick on the draw tonight doubt you’ll get much sleep dreaming of those big price winners today

I just had a tenner on Main Edition today at 5/1 and as you kindly said it’s nice when one you spot in the parade ring turns out to be so good. I remember seeing Roaring Lion and Ghaiyyath as 2 year olds and Eminent was another. I’m lucky to live so close to Newmarket.
Back to Fantasy League…
Well done for getting points on the board this week, I had to make up an Ascot related team as I’m on holiday from 4th-18th June and will miss the first day.
No idea what happened to Wild Illusion today, maybe it was a prep
We must remember to look out for Bonus Races…could be crucial..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 26, 2019 at 23:46 #1441853Thank you hein and well done with your winners too
I thought Axana ran a superb race today and what a lovely course Dusseldorf is, I ever expected the turn that was a surprise
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 26, 2019 at 23:51 #1441864I think Wild Illusion was slow in coming to hand last season, so possibly needs an effort or two to get into her best stride
This was a tough race with plenty of competition for a 1st time out
Has Appleby been off the boil lately perhaps too??Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
May 27, 2019 at 00:00 #1441865Yes seems that way Nathan after such a good year in 2018 the stable not as consistent as they were last year.
Still long way to go and looking forward to seeing Blue Point and Masar again.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 27, 2019 at 00:15 #1441867I too had Wild Illusion in my team but she ran a bit lacklustre and probably needed it.
I did manage to get 200 pts for Khagan finishing second in France though so happy days
I am currently in 180th position so I will wallow in the glory of being so high cos it won’t last long
