More to come on the French Derby tomorrow, but now that really had better be it for tonight.

Thought about Veracious, might have needed the run on reappearance, but imo didn’t find much under pressure and now tongue tied for the first time… Awesometank also in new headgear, cheek pieces; struggled to beat Anna Nerium last time… And too many runners here want to race up with the pace. Some that can’t get there won’t run to form and/or will go too fast and set it up for a closer… Nyaleti has imo just as good form as the favourite, but what happened last time out? And he’s one that goes from at or near the front. But the closers Bella Regazza and (to a degree) Anna Nerium may need good or softer to be at their bests. Therefore, I’ll probably file it in the too difficult tray… at least until after the first race time is known – seeing if it’s still over-watered goodish ground.
Arrrrgh! You idiot Ginge! Worked the pace out right, then in the end went against Ana’ because thought the ground would be against her. Prominent runner Awesometank ran much better than position suggests, doing by far the best of prominent runners and will probably be under-estimated next time; particularly if allowed time to get over this hard race.

June 1, 2019 at 18:26 #1444128I was thinking the same, Baynet.
Time will come when it doesn’t happen and we get a blank day. So please take that in to account in staking.
Am really kicking myself for not backing Ana Nerium though.Value Is EverythingJune 1, 2019 at 19:02 #1444140Yeah will do prepared for the inevitable run

June 2, 2019 at 09:07 #1444182Morning GT
What do you use for your French race form study it’s a shame race passes don’t cover those races?
June 2, 2019 at 10:41 #1444259Timeform don’t seem to produce an official race pass on French racing, Baynet. But if looking up a horse you know is in the race (typing in the horse’s name) you’ll see “entries 1” (or however many entries the horse has). Click entries and there’ll be a Prix Du Jockey Club button (or whatever race the horse is entered in). Press that and you’ll get all the runners in one spot (a race pass).
This also works when occasionally “Big Race Entries” sometimes doesn’t show the race I’m looking for (usually when ante-post races are in transition to a day of race situation).
Hope that helps.
