I’ve heard that night before is fine (far less likely to get limited )for itv and maybe weekend racing but there’s mixed info for weekday \non itv racing
May 20, 2019 at 12:13 #1439817Makes sense, Istabraq.
I’d imagine the reason bookmakers keep accounts going and/or less likely to restrict bettors concentrating more on ITV/weekend races is because of more money bet on them. ie There’s more mug money bet on ITV/weekend racing. So even when a good judge makes a profit the bookmakers usually still make a very healthy profit too. Something that isn’t always true when less money is bet on non-weekend/non-ITV racing, because stakes from profitable punters are a bigger percentage of overall stake money on the race/day.

24 points @ 13/1 (betfair) Foxtrot Lady (min 12/1)Value Is EverythingMay 20, 2019 at 15:24 #1439826Taken on Group 1 winner The Tin Man in a listed race. 7 lb penalty means his form isn’t far ahead of some and… Although TTM has run well in winning this very race twice before, probably not at his very best in doing so and this looks a better field. Also, although some like to be alongside the leader, I wouldn’t describe any as an out and out front runner. So if they only set a moderate or fair pace it may count against the always held up The Tin Man.
Lot will depend on Glorious Journey who’s coming back in trip; bred to be best at a lot further but can be rank. Glorious Journey seems inconsistent and/or temperamental but his last two victories came when up there throughout. So can understand money coming for him. However; if letting him have his head it’ll probably set the race up for the favourite anyway. So I’ve gone for the two others most likely to race prominently/track pace – Dream Of Dreams and Foxtrot Lady.
Dream Of Dreams comes from a bang in form trainer. Looked at least as good as ever on reappearance, winning a Chelmsford Conditions Race with a bit to spare from Hey Jonesey (who had been third when Dream Of Dreams was second in a Group 3 last term). DOD has been beaten 3/4 length or less in three Group 3’s; including twice in photo’s… And only 1 1/4 in a Group 2. So The Tin Man giving him 7 lbs is no easy task and (although TTM should be fav) the two should imo be a lot closer in the betting.
Foxtrot Lady has a bit to find on “form”, but that could be helped by a tactical advantage. Improved a good deal at three and could come on for reappearance (4 3/4 lengths behind Dream Of Dreams at Chelmsford).
The other two, Spring Loaded and Baron Bolt both won big handicaps held up in strongly run races and their form isn’t far behind either… However, if things are set up for them then it’ll also be set up for the favourite; so can’t see them beating TTM.Value Is EverythingMay 20, 2019 at 15:56 #1439827Doing the above has convinced me Glorious Journey is worth a saver.
