It’s very possible Brain Power could get a soft lead and in these conditions it’s very hard to make ground on horses quickening from the front. He was also most impressive on reappearance last year. However, the market is speaking very much against him. I do find money for Le Prezien puzzling, not sure a test of speed at the trip will suit and his jumping makes the horse inconsistent. May be he’s improved in that department over the winter and stable in good form, but on form looks too short to me. Sceau Royal should be very much suited by a test of speed, although his form isn’t really much -if at all – as far in front of the rest than the betting implies. But just as important in evaluating betting markets/value is who’s going to run to form… And it’s easy to see he could be the only one to do so today.
