16 points @ 16/1 (VC) CaprinchoHave backed Time For Rupert for the Gold Cup, but he’s been disappointing in both RSA and Betfair chase, with physical problems. Not something you want when backing an odds-on shot and well worth opposing. But what with?
Pasco is unproven at the trip and possibly best with less give in the ground.
The Giant Bolster ran well enough in the Hennessy, but is a poor jumper.
That leaves us with novice Carprincho, who has plenty of improvement in him. Not that it will be enough IF Time For Rupert is at his best. Carprincho has plenty to find on form but may well be the only one to show his form here.
It’s a shame there are not 5 runners for each way betting.

I like Dynaste too.
The way he kicked off from the front after racing prominently was impressive and the time was good.
I’ve had a little bet on him for Saturday, but backed him each-way for the World Hurdle already, I think the price will shorten after they meet on Saturday.
Good luck

33 points @ 5/1 (b365) Rubi LightYes, there’s a stamina doubt, but is in my opinion over-played. Quito De La Roque and Rubi Light seem to be of similar ability, and it’s only staying power making the difference. There should not be as much between the two as the market suggests. Quito in my opinion does not have double the chance of Rubi. Having said that, I might save on Quito nearer the off.
