December 17, 2023 at 16:24 #1674222A little flutter after yesterdays lucky streak
Pool have had easy home opposition all season apart from 3-0 v Villa early on. Utd scores 3 Away three times in November. You might get 11/4 for 2 Utd goals v the Reds if you shop around. Less pressure on them away from home perhaps!
December 19, 2023 at 19:21 #1674382EFL
6/4 + interest bet
Expecting defensive displays tonight to avoid injuries
Chelsea v Newcastle Under 9.5 Corners – risky!
Everton v Fulham Under 3.5 Goals
Cottagers would fancy 0-0 or 1-1 almost as much as a win for a bit of excitement this season – neither top 5 or relegation to worry about.
December 23, 2023 at 11:28 #1674760Top televised lunchtime Championship match more compelling than Premier league opponents with big Xmas games ahead. Nothing original here, RP tipping the “obvious” too!
Have to prematurely forgive Leeds for their lame attacking ideas against Blackcats. Ipswich look like a team that can be bullied and Leeds are a team that can bully the opposition at home or away. So Peacocks to strut their stuff and brush the Tractor Boys off course and bring those in the Old Peacock some early Xmas cheer.
Everton must be battle ready to avoid a home humiliation against Citeh next week so I expect Spurs to take advantage and over stretch them with their intricate passing game in the 3pm game.
Leeds / Spurs Double Chance @ 9/5
December 23, 2023 at 14:49 #1674807( RP have tipped an Everton/ Draw Double result v Spurs in correction )
So what did Norwich draw with last week? Still going to take the Canaries to grind out a win against the Yorkshire Terriers with the help of some new found confidence hopefully!
Hard to believe Pilgrims have kept I think seven clean sheets this season after watching last weeks highlights. Maybe they’ll tactically sacrifice a goal or two today to score three or four. So taking a chance on Overs (2.5) today against Wayne’s Wonders.
Two bets amount to a modest 6/4 Double Chance
Even more modest are Spurs and Norwich Double to win their respective Corner battles @ 11/10
GL with any bets!
December 27, 2023 at 18:21 #1675262After a vein of lucky results a speculative little double flutter on two PL games tonight and tomorrow.
Citeh and BTTS looks better value than Citeh -1 H/C against my Toffees. Fair play to the Blues for being positive and brave v Spurs and they did look good but against a poor and tired looking team much depleted – like v the Magpies recently. Another bold display should yield a home goal, even a penalty, but Citeh should out-joust them.
Spurs look like a team that could fall out of contention if they don’t reduce the injury bench numbers pronto.
Flashes of Arsenalesque brilliance like that weekend goal won’t suffice. And one of their forwards just hasn’t the physicality for the English game at the very top level. Fancy the Seagulls could lay two golden eggs tomorrow night.Man City & BTTS at Everton
Brighton 2 Home goals v Spurs11/2 Double Chance
December 29, 2023 at 20:01 #1675615Seventh game of the month and another round on Monday. Circus animals indeed, Nathan!
Maybe Brom and Leeds will spare us a much deserved sleepy 0-0 draw.Veered from an Overs inclination to giving the Peacocks the nod yet again. Brom have hardly been saving their goal-scoring abilities all
December for this class of opposition. Leeds won comfortably against Ipswich last week but the general football standard was below standard. Still think they can spoil the Brom attacking brio and grind out an ugly win – probably winning the Yellows 3-2!Unappetising round of mainly lob-sided PL games this weekend, no doubt tactical affairs. Hungry looking Everton should manage to exchange at least a goal with the Wolves.
Leeds Win at Brom
Wolves v Everton BTTSis a 11/4 – 3/1
Double ChanceDecember 30, 2023 at 16:13 #1675784Don’t really get Man U -1 H/c @ 3/1 v Forest. If the Trees had big problems at home v Spurs recently surely they’ll have ‘em v Utd
December 30, 2023 at 16:42 #16757877/2 with sky bet
Think they must be going off Forests win away at Newcastle
I’m not convinced it will happen but is value
I did bet 7/2 on Yates getting a card
He looks like getting booked most gamesGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
December 31, 2023 at 13:52 #1675883Interest Bet
Pointer? Fulham have been scoreless in their four home defeats this season v Burnley, Man U, Chelsea and Brentford. Arsenal have beaten poor relations Brentford twice and Palace 1-0 away.
Priority for Gunners must be to avoid a second consecutive derby defeat and preferably grind out a win against rather than attempt a goal spree. Allowing Zinchenko and co one mistake today!
Arsenal & Under 3.5 & > 9 Corners @ 3/1
( 13/1 Arsenal 3-1 is a good price boost)
Zinchenko has a calf injury!
January 1, 2024 at 14:22 #1676026I’d put a line through that Arsenal performance in yesterdays London derby. At least we can now conclude that the Gunners are not the silky seamsters in passing they have been in recent years and are a more mundane physical outfit.
Let’s see how long it takes to get a double bet over the line this year.
Robins Win v Millwall
Norwich v Saints Under 2.5
4/1 on Sky Bet
Canaries would want to keep things very tight you’d think to guarantee a point
January 4, 2024 at 18:33 #1676233Seems to be a bit of a gamble on a low scoring 1st half in tonight’s FA Cup fixture. Got 6/4 for Under 1.5 goals 1st half for Palace v Everton and for both Brentford and Wolves to score tomorrow night earlier this afternoon.Lucky to get 11/8 for it now.
Toffees will be using the competition for remedial measures after Xmas speed-bump and being caught out by those lightning quick “lupine” attacks at the weekend.
Very much a minimum rather than maximum bet.
January 6, 2024 at 12:29 #1676417It’s an avian Double Chance today for the birds!
Magpie/Canary 6/4 if you’re hungry
Newcastle HT/FT & Norwich 11/4 if you’re greedy! I’m greedy!!
1pt
Magpies may be threadbare but they’ve been putting in credible performances in defeat. Need to establish supremacy early on! Chasm in quality between top 10 PL and Championship top 10 (except Leicester) and Blackcats have had a tough round of games as well. Lost 0-3 to Coventry at home before Xmas.
GL
January 6, 2024 at 12:47 #1676425Sunderland Newcastle
I’ll go sunderland.
Massive game and while there is a gulf between the sides, it’s a derby and a great chance for the Mackems to do something big here.
It may well be a case of who wants it the most, rather than the ability of the visitors.January 7, 2024 at 13:47 #1676546Final whistle at Carrow rd yesterday should have been greeted with gales of laughter rather than boos! Laurel & Hardy defence means mid-table mediocrity awaits them in May. Should have gone with Coventry!
Another Championship team that needs a cup replay like a hole in the head is Leeds Utd. Asking them today to do the heavy lifting against the Posh and seek an insurance goal long before the final whistle.
If I were feeling brave today it would be a ‘Pool/Draw Double Result bet but as the Gunners will raise their game and score probably at least one it’s the BTTS cop out in the late game.
Peacocks -1 H/c v The Posh
Arsenal v ‘Pool BTTS
4/1 + Double Chance
GL with any bets
January 13, 2024 at 14:50 #1677201Brom Win v Blackburn
Ipswich Win v Sunderland
11/4 Double Chance
Brom’s superior physicality should see them outscore Rovers. Black Cats might just bounce back after recent reality checks but I think more likely they may be overwhelmed by the Tractor Boys if they’re ‘revd’ up in front of their fans. Ipswich -1 H/c worth considering too.
Elsewhere Brum look value at 5/4 to tame the Swans
GL with any bets
January 13, 2024 at 14:53 #1677205I’m interested in Ipswich, just hanging on for the line up but they do look a very fair price
