An alternative short price 5/4 Double teaser for tonight:

    Hull v Leeds BTTS

Arsenal to score 3 v PSV

Hull have been managing at least one this season and may find themselves chasing early. A tactical exercise no doubt from Gunners but should bag 3 anyway.

I will be amazed if Manchester Utd score tonight. They are in free fall and may cop a hiding tonight.
    Bayern to score 3+
    A penalty to be awarded,
A player to be sent off.

Sounds like a thriller! Hope they don’t leave Rashford too isolated so he can score that goal for me. He cut a forlorn and frustrated figure on Saturday.

You’ve a goal zil. I’m waiting on a couple of bookings to make it a good evening and Arsenal to score five hopefully (one more needed) .

Looks like the 1/2 pt bet has landed ok. Kicking myself about the Hull v Leed BTTS bet. Shouldn’t be doing BTTS when you’re expecting another 1-1 result. Needs to be plenty goals in BTTS matches.

Two late goals have at least boosted Manchester Utd’s confidence for their weekend match. But you cannot polish such a mess, merely sprinkle some fairy dust on it. The boss took a squad of 21 which included four goalkeepers. That sends out an awful message to the opposition. Sancho training alone international defender out of the line up. Anthony otherwise engaged. He has certainly lost the player power struggle.

Tonight’s televised match between Brum and the Hoops isn’t on paper an appetising prospect especially with the hosts’ goal scoring record this year. RP’s tepid 1 pt recommendation is for a home win & under 3.5 goals @ 6/4. Defeats to Watford and Preston is nothing for the Blues to be ashamed about but both teams look assembled to expose their respective defences’ weakness. BTTS & Over 2.5 is only offering 6/4 alas so I reckon all the value is with the visitors here so I’m splitting my 1/2 pt bet as follows:

    QPR Goals Over 1.5 @ 11/4

    BTTS & QPR Win @. 7/1

We always play Scotland after the World Cup final.
Just like 66 at least a win for the auld enemy won’t mean they claim to be world champions for the next fifty years.

    England ladies v Scotland
    England 3+ goals @ 6/5

A quiet Saturday afternoon in the Premier league and some familiar team picks here:

    11/4 ‘ish Double Chance (1.5pts)

    Man Utd WIN at Burnley @ 3/4 Sat 8.00 @ 4/6

    Chelsea v Aston Villa Sun 2.00 + 10.5 Corners @ 11/10

Burnley will find tonight’s challenge a major step on from the wooden opposition offered by Forest last Monday. Both teams at Stamford Bridge more than capable of forcing 5-6 corners

    9/2 Double Chance (1pt)

Norwich WIN at Plymouth Argyle Sat 3.00 @ 21/20

    Arsenal WIN & BTTS v Spurs Sunday 2.00 @ 7/4

Norwich on the rebound the kind of team that should be able to eke out a win on the tough going Home Park pitch. Spurs still a bit of an unknown quantity this season but Gunners should score one more.

    9/4 + Double Chance (1/2 pt)

    Leicester WIN v Bristol City Sat 3.00 @ 4/6

    Brighton -1 H/C WIN v Bournemouth Sun 2.00 @ 1/1

Robins should be meat and drink to the Foxes but Champions-apparent may seek to win these kind of games a touch cheekily. Lacklustre from Cherries v Chelsea last week and look likely to suffer in the second half here against a solid defence.

Foxes obviously left the Canaries legless so I’m sending on another “sub” for the Arsenal double bet. Toffees would grab the hand off for a 0-0 or 1-1 at west London. A well played one goal defeat would even be tolerable in current circumstances. If they were to score they would shut up shop so not risk any Bee counter-attacks. So Brentford v Everton Under 2.5 @ 10/11 to make a now 4/1 Double.

BTW Forest must have been saving themselves against Burnley for today’s big match.

Did an interest bet Coventry & England Ladies V Holland Double @ 3/1 Double after a good weekend but have my doubts about Coventry. They have a better physique and are quite direct but let’s just say their defence isn’t the cleverest in the division! Yorkshire Terriers are very dangerous and snappy in attack. Skyblues may play a conservative game with all their injuries. So this may be a better 1/2 pt 3/1 interest play tonight

    BTTS
    Coventry win Corner count
    Under 3.5

(Temperament and lack of maturity let England Ladies down in recent Final. Shouldn’t be a problem v Holland tomorrow eve)

League Cup and Caveat Emptor regarding team selections etc. but I like the 5/4 + Double (1.5pt) about Villa and Arsenal to QUALIFY tonight. The “Carabao” Cup can’t be much of a priority for the Toffees these days and I would have thought avoidance of injuries would be! Wouldn’t take too much confidence from that Brentford win either. Granted, Villa will be conscious of that early 12.30 Saturday kick off against the steely Seagulls. The prospect of 3 away points at Forest on Sunday afternoon will be looming large for the Bees. An easy weekend fixture for Arsenal at Bournemouth won’t faze them and I reckon there was an element of game management in their poor second-half efforts against the Lilywhites at the weekend so I’ll chance Arsenal H/T & F/T as well at 5/2 (1/2 pt.) Jesus a possible anytime goalscorer worth considering if selected at the same price.

    13/8 +. Double Chance (1pt)

    Villa v Brighton 12.30 Over 9.5 Corners 1/1

Preston v West Brom BTTS 17/20

Two exciting positive teams kick off proceedings shortly – hopefully end to end and resulting corners quite possible

Game of the Championship arguably today. Not as big gap between teams as table suggests. Hosts have had easy teams and have had rub of green. Brom plenty of flare in attack but flakey at back!

Seagulls squashed with my Corner bet under the Villa high-press containment. Brighton truly humbled. Hope my main bet isn’t humbled too! But hanging on to that Preston Brom BTTS bet.

    PL Double Chance 7/4 (1.5pts)

    Arsenal WIN at Bournemouth 8/15

    Everton Over 1.5 Goals v Luton 3/4

Championship Double Chance 4/1 (1/2 pt)

    Norwich v Birmingham Under 2.5 logic! 4/5

QPR v Coventry Hunch! Over 1.5 Home Goals 7/4

Canaries need a rest after some exhausting encounters recently. QPR might just improve on their solitary home goals v Sunderland and Swansea this month.

Dyche must have tempted fate at the Thursday press conference when empathising with Luton’s first season predicament. Looks like his squad didnt respond to being told to be ruthless

Forest dont seem to be creating corner opportunities like in recent seasons. If they can’t even win the corner match (11/10 1/2 pt) today against the counterattacking Bees in a game where they should dominate possession they will find themselves in the relegation zone again very soon.

Received wisdom suggests another London draw and under 2.5 and 100/30 is fair value for same. I prefer more left field bet with Chelsea to win 1st half @ 2/1 (1/2 pt) if there to win the match at all! Were strong in 1st half v Cherries. Need desperately to make statement against local Cottagers tonight.

21 points and 30 goals between Clarets and Hatters 5 months ago and hard enough to separate them now and judge which recent matches are relevant. Clarets look more polished outfit but Hatters are very pacey up front. If forced would give nod to Clarets.

Both defences very vulnerable and neither keeper that hectic so BTTS may be value at shade of odds on (1/2 pt) I’m also going to take a chance on Burnley dominating possession and winning the Corner count at 11/10. (1/2 pt)
