Good for matt
Does he by chance have a late teens daughter? (I’ve no idea)
I assume he “wouldn’t bat an eyelid » if someone flashed her and called her a whore and a slut?

December 14, 2021 at 02:27 #1572389I listened to the Betfair podcast tonight.
I thought Tony Calvin, Kevin Blake and Vanessa Ryle absolutely nailed it. Best take I’ve heard so far.
For me racing can’t move forward until the jockeys and trainers publicly accept the verdict.
I can’t see it happening.
December 14, 2021 at 10:08 #1572398Listened to the betfair podcast and they nailed it. Too much white noise around words that had anybody actually read the bha briefs statement said if dunnes behaviour was the culture of the weighing room then that its rancid not the weighing room was rancid. Holmes and struthers behaviour is beyond farcical and nonsensical. They were basically ignoring the findings and backing dunne. The weighing room better cotton on that the racing public will not stand for this appalling attitude to bryony and as Vanessa said if they don’t make meaningful change and quickly racing could lose millions in sponsorship, media rights etc.
I’m glad the betfair guys have highlighted what I saw as the blindingly obvious. Too much nonsense been said on the case and the bha and pja need only put out statements which state what they are going to do and omerta is stopped immediately. In no other walk of life where the public essential fund the sport do the sportsman stick two fingers up to them. As Kevin Blake said it’s a horrible look coming so soon after the Gordon elliot picture.
For unbelievably tough sportsman the jockeys come across as petty and vindictive.A horrendous fortnight for racing and yet another pr disaster.December 14, 2021 at 10:23 #1572401Tom Lacey coming out firing……and completely missing the target.

December 14, 2021 at 10:28 #1572404It’s interesting what he says about trying to book Bryony for a ride. Surprising if true but given his views you’d wonder why he wanted her.
Bryony has done an interview with the Sun(her employers after all). I’ve had a look at some excerpts(I know, I’m sorry, it was online, I didn’t buy the rag) and it appears that things have warmed a bit in the weighing room which is positive.
Meanwhile we still await word from Robbie Dunne. I believe he has until Thursday to make an appeal.
December 14, 2021 at 13:16 #1572426I always quite liked Bryony Frost – talented young jockey who started in Points, appears likeable in interview but, I’m not gonna lie, I think she’s a bloody GODDESS now.
She’s shaken the racing establishment to its very foundations.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"December 14, 2021 at 13:49 #1572433Excellent posts, well done [Sky Sports Racing lost all credibility when they asked her to comment, GK that his.] Where’s the Me Too Movement too busy giving Killary’s husband a pass.
Keep digging Racing media you’re doing a grand job. Yes, Ian a GODDESS.
December 14, 2021 at 19:05 #1572498Having read her pieces in the sun struthers,Holmes and mick Fitz positions seem untenable to me. Frost states that the pja said to her just let it blow over In other words excusing dunnes behaviour and telling her to suckling up. Unbelievable in this day and age. Struthers and Holmes haven’t contacted frost, one of their members and spent their time trying to get dunne off the charged. On what grounds were they representing frost. None.
They have to go and be replaced by folk who can see outside the weighing room bubble.December 14, 2021 at 23:55 #1572560Re: Lacey. I presume he was ringing about Exeter, where Nicholls is sending two runners but with Harry Cobden riding them. But with the overall tone of those comments I can’t help but wonder if Bryony’s agent is getting rather good at filtering the genuine offers. Will be interesting to see if she picks up more rides at Uttoxeter on Friday where she’s riding two for Lucy Wadham.
December 15, 2021 at 05:45 #1572567“Tom Lacey coming out firing……and completely missing the target.”
Unless his target was his foot.
December 15, 2021 at 06:12 #1572569Gay Kelloway and Jenny Pitman were / are tough old birds. Lets focus on that and ignore Bryony Frost getting vile abuse and being flashed at. Tom Lacey knows the score right enough. What a berk.
BUY THE SUN
December 15, 2021 at 08:29 #1572576Lacey has never previously used Frost, but Dunne has ridden for him 121 times. So he phones up and offers a ride on a chaser with a record that reads PU, last of 4, PU, PU, PU from it’s last five runs spread over two years. And he’s surprised when the offer is declined.
Must be a large pile of short planks somewhere in his yard!
December 15, 2021 at 10:36 #1572594Excellent info guys keep digging and relating on this forum.
December 15, 2021 at 15:12 #1572661Great info apracing. Lacey’s offer of the ride to Frost seems designed to paint her in a bad light, especially in the context of his links to Dunne.
