Unlucky UM – it did look tricky today…that one on Thurs looks…well – we’ll get around to that one!

The times weren’t great today when races were compared – a few false run – sprints into the home straight – typical French style!

"Ruddy French" is right – (I’m a Royalist at heart)
Peslier seemed to give ‘Baahama’ too much to do…settled stone last but so was the Head colt (at one stage) and he came through…
He always said that he would be much better this year due to his size – frame filling and all the that!
Kinda only confirmed form but on 4lbs worse terms!
Fabre’s less fancied on entries fared better…I think that you’ll be happy that there’s some knocks happening to that form from the big race at Longchamps last year…

There’s interest for you in the Force…
Ole have you been looking at those entries? First round tomorrow what are your thoughts…
It’s strange that they want to drop the Head horse back in trip – no?

Funny how the Cross is back…good ground and it gets interesting…for a couple of these…with the future in mind!
April 21, 2010 at 10:20 #291476Celimene to Ganay Price – Third Award of Harcourt
Enjoy an impressive third in the Prix Cutlass Bay Harcourt 2010, Celimene, resident Carlos Lerner, could run in the Prix Ganay (Group I) or in the Prix Corrida (Group II). His trainer has a preference: "Normally, it will be directed more towards the Prix Ganay. She moves very well and the owner wants to have fun with current events beautiful. "
April 21, 2010 at 10:24 #291477Rosamar Siyouni and in great shape!
Ready for Test Preparatory Chickens:

The two champions of the Ecurie Aga Khan, and Siyoumi Rosamar, their goals would be ready for April 25. Their trainer, Alain de Royer Dupre, is quite confident: "Both horses have finished their gallop easily, causing a good impression. The goal was not to see their form but to confirm their condition. They are on time for Sunday. "Rosamar participate in the Prix de la Grotte and the Prix de Fontainebleau Siyouni or both preparatory Laying Test.

10 left in the Fontainbleau
13 in the Grotte or cave!
9 in the Force
April 21, 2010 at 23:52 #291614I wonder if we’ll see any of these come Ascot?
A whole pack of them are in the Prince Charlie (of Wales). Ascot entries came out today. Still browsing through it all, but I see Byword, Wiener W, Shalanaya, Cutlass B, Spanish Moon, Laaheb, Soul City, Ibn K, Crowded Rubbish House.

No, work has been interferring with my hobby. And right now my Calendrier de Courses is refusing to load.
Which Head horse? Mubtassim? (Lovely win, by the way). I thought they would go for the Jockey Club with him? Have you read something about him going for the Poulains? I am so out of it…
Oh Dimanche, Dimanche, wherefore art thou, Dimanche? I cannot wait for your sweet weekend-ness and the 3 Group races you bring (as well as a Listed race at Navan).

After two days I’ve just worked out what Side Nagy isI haven’t. Please share.
..sorry OB I think I got it wrong so wouldn’t want to embarrass myself further by disclosing what I thought it meant
UM, I saw Zenjah use "Side Nagy" on a completely different thread (unrelated to French form), so I wonder if our English is worse than we thought. Come on, Zenjah, put the 2 of us out of our linguistic misery. What does it mean?
April 22, 2010 at 08:43 #291640Sounds like you are getting ready to put a lucky down at the weekend Ole – with those four races?!
No wonder you’re so keen to see the entries!
The entries for Ascot are interesting…no Cross for the big one…of Fabre’s I thought that he would be most suited to the going.
We’ll have to wait to find which are likely to go where…keep your eyes & ears open!Wrong Head horse!
I guess that there’s no hiding a brother to ‘Goldikova’?!
Well there won’t be – it’ll be hyped everywhere before the weekend if it stays in the race!
This is him – http://www.zeturf.com/en/resultats/1457 … e-Groupe-B
First time I ever read. "He was amused by the opposition" in race comments!

Quicker than the filly that won the first race that day – who runs today!
What a race – crossing form lines or what?!
‘A Media Luz’ has form with ‘Dariole’ who bt your fancy ‘Sinndarina’ (should come on for her run lots of weight & given an easy time) –
Then ‘Scandola’ bt ‘Dariole’ – but was behind your other ‘Sound Of Summer’ further back was ‘Plume Rose’ (maybe unlucky) and ‘Marie De Medici’ who ran third to ‘Rumoush’ at HQ the other day!
Then there’s the Fabre unexposed – a tail swisher but not without talent! – opps almost forgot – there’s also UM’s selection from the Hannon stable ‘Middle Club’ – confusing…Re: Nagy – set up your PM!
April 22, 2010 at 09:41 #291654Maurice Delcher-Sanchez is back – Spanish raiders always worth more than a second look in France, Suances, Equiano, Bannaby – all graduates of the school of excellence
April 22, 2010 at 12:03 #291677True Irish

33/1 for this one…
Bannaby, visit likely Ascot
16/04/2010 – 08:35 | Second of Listed at St. Cloud, he could cross the Channel
Bannaby second Prix Right Royal St. Cloud Tuesday, April 13, might participate in the Gold Cup at Ascot. After Equiano, coach Mauricio Delcher Sanchez would be much dispute the flat racing in England in 4000 meters. "I want to try an adventure a little crazy with him," he confided. Were you on him when he won the Cadran and when Eq won at Ascot?!
April 22, 2010 at 12:11 #2916798 – left in the Force
12 – for the Cave
7 – for the FontainbleauUsual suspects in all!

No Ocean… entered up elsewhere…
April 22, 2010 at 12:40 #291684Dariole. Given too much of a lead off a slow pace it looked to me?
April 22, 2010 at 13:44 #291701Oh, right, Ocean Seven. It is strange – I feel like you don’t decide to run a 2yo over more than a mile unless you are really convinced that they are a stayer. And interesting that you wouldn’t think to try a halfie to Goldikova over a mile first (I don’t think Green Tune is a massive stamina influence, is he?).
Maybe that race was just at the right time and conditions and prize money, and Fabre thought he could always drop him back later…or now that his entry has been forfeited, it was never a serious entry, and he is going the JC route?
April 22, 2010 at 13:57 #2917037 – for the Fontainbleau
2 horse race, isn’t it? Siyouni & Makani (we are the horses who end in -NI).
Rajsaman in there as pacemaker for Siyouni, Lope de Vega solidly beaten by latter in Lagardere, Too Nice Name has been progressing through the backtype races so could maybe spring a surprise, but Shamalgan was behind him 3 weeks ago. I guess Arasin could also spring a surprise – he did beat Planteur last year, although he maybe just needed further, as evidenced by the Noailles.
April 22, 2010 at 14:08 #29170712 – for the Cave
This race is a little more open, I think Barouda and maybe Dolled Up have good chances, but again 2 front-runners in a Niarchos/Pease vs Aga Khan/ARD showdown (just like the Fontainebleau). Aruna or Rosanara will do it, I reckon.
April 22, 2010 at 14:22 #291710Thoughts later!…

Yep and the time before – think it was 25’s for the Cadran and the same again for Equiano. Unfortunately missed out on Suances in the Jean Prat as I was too young

Think his runners in group races are probably worth backing blind – not sure where he trains (possibly around Madrid) but that might have something to do with his horses running well at low-altitude ie. most of France and the UK since the Spanish capital and the main track there (La Zarzuela) is up in the mountains
