Where can I view replays of French racing (in particular the Group/Listed features) online?

The ever-reliable World-Horse-Racing website has gone to the sword it seems. (http://world-horse-racing.blogspot.com)

    Hi Cav

    Try

    http://www.equidiavideo.fr/

It’s a pay-per-view service but it works out at only about 20p per race. I think I opened an account with either £2 or €2 and got 10 credits.

    It’s only for windows though…

”Planteur freewheeled to overtake Tenacious Spring and was never worried by the challenge of Rewilding”

    ..crucial…
    trouble is, I don’t like the name…’Planteur’,
I can’t see it in bright lights ..early days.

great stuff posting that, thanks Zenjah.

…please note, Nicolay supplemented ‘Pearl Away’ :)

…then Hong Kong again all being well – trainer wants good ground at least for her.

UM – I’ve taken note of all points made!
Re: the name – I’d have thought you’d of liked it seeing as – you’re doing a ‘how does your garden grow’? thread?!! :D

Today we have a couple a races to look out for the 1.35 & 2.05 at Saint-Cloud.

In the first we see the brother of Bago – ‘Makani’ make his reappearance.

‘Red Barn’ for Dupre has race fitness onside – was beat by ‘Ricci’ (flopped behind Makfi after being supplemented) albeit giving him 3.5 kg first up this year.

‘Blue Panis’ was third that day…

Outsider – ‘Fred Lalloupet’ was bt by ‘Ramble On’ who before that was bt by ‘Ricci’…

    In the 2.05 fillies race:

    A Fabre newbie ‘Intolerance’
‘Flying Grace’ – representing behind ‘Darma’
‘Baroness’ has form behind ‘Santa Agata’ (bt 1/2l by recent winner No Risk At All)
‘Terra Nova’ has twice been beaten by – ‘Sandbar’
‘Lily Of The Valley’ – form with ‘Liliside’

A hot little contest on paper with quite a few different form lines! :o

    ..that would be appropriate…why didn’t I think of that….? :)

    Erhaab….Shaamit….Planteur….2nd thoughts, well why not…?

I thought Flying Grace might win that maiden but Rouget strikes again… but I don’t think we’ve seen anything much today although Blek winning the Prix Right Royal is one I’m going to follow this season in the longer races, and I expect to see him picking up a Gr. 3 or better before too long, he’s such a consistent sort.

Zenjah, the price I really want to see is Youmzain 2nd in the Arc. :D

No value in the AOB horses. FAG is looking more and more like a spent force – since a fantastic Irish Champions run, the fellow has been highly ordinary 3 times.

The 2 Dar… mares are very promising for the Arc, as are the 2 Godolphin sons of Halling. And as I implied above, Youmzain is a reliable 2nd.

    Instead of what?

As towerto posted, ARD already mapped out her first 3 targets (Corrida, GP de Saint-Cloud, King George). Zenjah then speculated (at least, I think it was speculation) that a repeat of the Vase would be up for December. I am sure that if she hits her mid-season targets and seems on track, ARD will send her to the Arc, with a Vermeille prep possibly. If she wins the Arc, I may differ from Zenjah’s opinion that she will return to Hong Kong. Much as I would like to see her there again, I have noted that connections rarely feel that any of their horses need to prove anything after winning the Arc. Zarkava, Dalakhani, [Sinndar] never ran again.

Mare: ‘Blek’ did well today – Crastus said he’s getting better!
Loves the track – that counts a lot there…’Bannaby’ heading for our Gold cup now…
    Lellouche only had 4 winners a 1 second from 21 runners…
I like his ‘Power Absolute’ – he has options!
There was one in the Drake that it might pay to look out for…

Darren – that 25’s is tempting you hey?!

I can’t say with any conviction where she’ll run – I do know that the trainer said before her run in HK – that if she did well – she’d be back!

He is adamant that she wants good ground or better – it hasn’t been soft in the Arc for a while – but you have to factor that in to the price.

If he wanted to give her an easier race before Hong Kong she could go for the Prix Royallieu again – another thing to factor or reason that she might not go in the big one itself.

There’s a long way to go and I doubt she’ll shorten up much if any…keep your eyes peeled is my best advice – 3yr olds have the best record in the Arc.

I had forgotten that ARD had said that. Still, I have to say that connections hold the Arc is extremely high regard, and if Daryakana does well over the mid-season, I am sure they will succumb to temptation (regardless of the Oct ground at Longchamp) and run her in the Arc. If she doesn’t win, then she’d probably head back to HK, but if she does….not so sure.

On the price, I reckon it would shorten quite a bit if she takes the King George.

    Here’s what he said:
"She only started her career in July and she will stay in training next season so she could be back in 2010."

He does have a fondness for HK – i.e. taking Pride there twice.

It seems that trainers want the easiest route possible…

I whole heartedly agree that she would be very unlikely to go HK route if running in the Arc. :)

Also agree that her price would shorten if she took the KG – it might even if she took the Grand Prix before hand!

Those are a little way off – there’s training on (they said she’s only small)
between now and then we should know more about the 3yr olds.

The Royallieu would still be a possibility esp if his ‘Behkabad’ shows us anything – or the strength of the Arc itself I guess.

You are right, ARD likes HK. And for some reason, he refuses to send his horses to America, despite winning the inaugural BC Turf. I remember reading something at the end of last season when there was talk of Sweet Hearth going to Santa Anita, but discussing how doesn’t like to send his horses to America.

Even if Behkabad redeems his Djebel run in the Guiche, and follows up with the Jockey Club, and is basically an Arc contender, you have to remember that he is a Rouget horse. The way I see it, ARD has 2 Arc hopes right now (Daryakana, Rosanara) and if either has a good enough season, he will take them to the Arc regardless of Behkabad or anyone else.

Next big round of French races on the 25th – seems like far too long to wait.
