Didn’t take long to find a substitute for the above.

Radium holds an entry for the Tote Gold Trophy but of his current mark wouldn’t get in if Khyber King runs. A win here would perhaps get him a run but they couldn’t have picked a tougher opponent to try and beat.

Radium had his limits expose to an extent when kicked into touch by Get Me Out Of Here. Jonjo’s is very highly regarded but Radium looked very one paced and was quickly beaten finishing in 4th. He then beat Jonjo’s Four Strong Winds but he wasn’t fully wound up that day so in affect he like Peddlers Cross has beat very little.

He wouldn’t be one of Nicky’s best and he may lack the toe if this becomes a tactical battle although neither may want that as it could greatly increase any chance ex flat horses Charlie Tipple and Scriptwriter have of causing an upset.

I’m going all out and backing Peddlers Cross who I believe Donald McCain regards as an exceptionally good horse and I’m told is mega confident he will not be beaten today no matter how it is run.

Both the Sporting Life and the Racing Post highlight Radium as their selections so I would imagine I’ll do better to wait than take the 11/10.

Was told not to back it but to keep an eye on a horse today owned by Andrew Merriam called Devoran Quay. Started at 100/1 for the Ascot bumper……he’ll be winning soon Shhhh!!!!!

Good reports on Kalahari King from the ever honest Ferdy Murphy…..stonking bet for the QMCC at 11/2 without Master Minded.

Well there you go he’s now 5/2 without Master Minded which means I get 15/8 about him win or lose by laying him at 5/2 if he is that price on Betfair on the day

You may have read JP McManus on the advice of Tony McCoy has bought Made in Time.

He down to run on Saturday against some decent sorts but they will need to have wings if they are going to beat this horse. However JP will be out to get his investment back in one hit so get on early.

I’ve already taken the 20/1 ew for Chelters just in case.

Well done, you have the potential for a Win/Win scenario, thats the way to do it! Now who was it that told you a year ago to do the same with Binocular at 6/4,when you were holding double figure vouchers!

Not suprisingly Made in Time is 11/4 joint favourite and the money just keeps coming for Get Me Out Of Here.

The latter has been hyped silly since the day it arrived at Jackdaw but up to now hasn’t let anyone down. Owes me nothing so backed him again in the hope he’s as good as they think.

Main bet is Made in Time but had two singles and a double at 11/4 and 8/1.

    With Cheltenham on his agenda

    Wolf Moon

needs a few extra pounds on his back to be certain of gettting a run. I imagine he wont be there todfay for anything other than to do his best. The main opposition is another might be a good un from PN’s yard.

Worth a bet at around 5/1

With Mille Chief taken out the Adonis could be a very easy race to win.

Nicky Henderson’s Soldatino could be anything but personally I have never heard of him until now. If he was one of his better novices I suspect I would have heard something, but not a peep!

Nicky wouldn’t be going here for anything else but to educate this horse who must have had little or no chance of beating Mille Chief.

    Ultimate

    looks a steal at 6/4

    Mick Jagger sang

"Dogs begin to bark and hounds begin to howl"

I was asked a question last night:…..Ever thought of re-mortgaging your house? Well the good news is you don’t have to mortgage it all just the front.

Took a minute or two for the penny to drop

This horse will not be beaten today.

    Front of the House

any price they are daft enough to offer.

Nicky Henderson when quizzed about Young Kenny said " The only reason he’s the price he is is people keep writing about him"

Not the best recommendation in the world if you’re going to have your verbials on a horse.

For one reason or another he hasn’t appeared until now and has been taken out of the Triumph but Nicky has always maintained the horse needs good ground and there simply hasn’t been anywhere to run him plus hewas always more likely to get suitable ground at Aintree than Cheltenham.A

He could be a talking horse but Nicky hasn’t subjected him to running on unsuitable ground so he’s obviously loooking after this one big time.

The opposition today consists of a bunch of deadwood and a horse who won’t settle, can’t jump and doesn’t fully stay 2 miles.

However everything is in Ultimate’s favour today as he’s obviously much better on fast ground but the fact is he remains there to be shot at and really he’s not that good.

My one worry is it was way too easy to get a few hundred quid on at 2.02 and 2 on Betfair last night and he’s still trading at 1.97 for small money. That could be down to punters taking cold feet because he’s not going for the Triumph and they think he can’t be that good and Nicky Henderson playing down the rumours. Hopefully Ladbrokes and co will see it the same way and some evens will be available on what should be no more than an excercise canter for Super Kenny if he’s half as good as they say.

With Qaspal hacking up on Saturday the plan was to smash into Dunguib again but the way I see it is evens in a 2 horse race is a lot less risky than evens in the Supreme.

Hopefully SK will hack up then it will give me a free bet on Dunguib tomorrow.

All the best for Chelters everyone!

5/4 in a canter I was almost  taking the price.

What a surprise the commentator said he could be heading to Aintree…….aftertimer

Put the entire winnings on Dunguib at evens as per the plan and there’s still 18k there to be had on Betfair……Can’t see him being anywhere near that price tomorrow.

Nothing like a free bet to start the day

Oh well easy come easy go but Binny made my day big time.

Can’t believe Little Josh actually made it to the RSA but it will take a near miracle for my 100/1 ew to pay a didvidend if Punchestowns Dirty Harry and Long Run all get round and run their races. NTD does think the world of him and wasn’t going to run but he’s being going so well since he won his last race he’s decided to let him take his chance.

Could lay him off but would pay less that 1/2 for my cash so I’ll let him run.

Away from Cheltenham Wallace Monument was expected to win last time but hated the place. He’s well thought of and apparently has schooled really well and shouldn’t be missed today at his first attempt over hurdles.

Galaxy Rock’s 2nd over 3 miles last time was a fair that would give him no more than a decent chance of winning today.

However Cheltenham was a distinct possibility for him at the time so he would be fully wound up and the trip wouldn’t be his ultimate either.

He drops down to 2m5f today, he’s got loads of toe when 100%,the gound is perfect for him and AP is on board.

If you can’t smell a touch buy an inhaler

He looks like opening up around 3or 4/1 I wouldn’t hang around folks. Very surprised if he’s not backed off the boards today.

Over 2,000 quid been traded from 5.8 to 4.7 on Betfair as I type.
