March 29, 2003 at 21:33 #40850given your vast experience of the favourites system – do you think that the transitional months (e.g. March and November) are worth avoiding?
March 29, 2003 at 21:37 #40851or maybe june or july where favourites are well supported/overbet…?
March 29, 2003 at 21:38 #40852(last one) or even on a daily basis – avoid backing favourites where the going is on the turn (a reason that so many 5/4 favourites got stuffed in March)…??
March 30, 2003 at 11:52 #40853The transitional months are always difficult and with the SP prices being so low, it just takes a few losing runs to wipe out any LSP for the month. Yes, I proceed with caution.
With the abolition of "betting tax", they are a lot more "favourite backers"now and I personally think this has been reflected in the SP’s – no doubt somebody will say I am wrong on this one!
I have been extremely busy of late and will be for the next few months. I was working on another "favourite" system with price restrictions that seemed to be panning out reasonably well, still that is on the "back burner" until I get more time to study.
