I’m only pointing out what the finishing times of the respective races, distance back to the second in the KG, weight allowances etc. would indicate RH though I appreciate that you can’t guarantee he’d have run identically in the KG, he made a few mistakes but was still a very very easy winner of a Grade 1 novices chase and never looked like falling.

Fair enough IS, just throwing in a note of caution for anyone less experienced than yourself, prepared to risk their mortgage on just the evidence of the clock.

Taking everything into consideration that IS has said I reckon Binocular should win the 2013 Grand National and not Long Run

Is that a serious post about the national? has someone said that is a genuine target? If it is they better get a hold of someone who knows where the springs Zebidee used in the Magic Roundabout are to help him get off the ground.
Wouldn’t surprise me if this horse ended up going the World Hurdle route.

It was Robert Waley-Cohen talking about Long Run after his win in the Prix Orcada. He announced that Long Run would join Henderson after the Maurice Gillois in November, and suggested the horse would be aimed at the Feltham, before saying (somewhat tongue-in-cheek, no doubt) that he would win the 2013 Grand National.
Fist, your theory that Long Run "doesn’t have enough experience" is so fundamentally flawed and without foundation, that I think you should be forced to pay me a tenner as a penalty every time you use it.

I hate being right all the time but the truth is I cheated
Knew already Nicky didn’t want to run him in that gruelling thing. Wish I’d known he was going to send him for the Arkle……what you could have done with that info on Betfair
