I drink things that don’t aggravate my dodgy prostrate during the day. Water and decaff coffee.

I need a proper drink come 9 or 10 PM

A day at the races (unmasked) will see me revert to a couple of pints of beer or lager

I mainly drink water and coffee
fave drink though would be a ice cold cider on a steaming hot day.. unfortunately its rare as I tend to not drink much alcohol and try and keep out of the sun.. Both due to health reasons but now and again I let my hair down.

Very cold tap water (no, not with ice).

    Darren,
I used to drink a lot of Lucozade, absolutely loved the stuff.
    Remember these advertising slogans?…
    “Lucozade – gives you energy”.
    “Lucozade – aids recovery”.

    Have this one…

    Lucozade – gives you diabetes!

Too f…… right it should have a “sugar tax”! :good:

Black tea – usually Earl or Lady Grey or Twinings No 9

When I’m naughty “full fat” coke, when I’m being good Pepsi Max – no more than a can a day – otherwise good old H2O

Used to be “force fed” (probably an exaggeration but made to drink) Lucozade if I was ill as a kid – put me off the stuff for life. Similar with Ribena, when I had my tonsils out as a 5 year old my Mother thought it was the elixir for recovery – all it did was put me off the stuff for years.

On the very rare occasions I have alcohol then it’s, most likely, a G&T or a full bodied red if with a meal. If it’s really hot I may have a lager shandy

When I was about 18, whisky was my spirit of choice. I worked in a pub and one day I worked a morning and evening shift, with a wedding in-between. I started on the whisky around lunchtime and didn’t stop until I passed out just after closing time. After that even the smell made me want to throw up and it was over 30 years before I had a whisky again and that’s only because we were on holiday in Scotland and the place we were staying the owner was into his whisky, I think he had almost every single malt available – and he eventually persuaded me to try it again – I managed to drink a couple without throwing up but, even today it’s not my spirit of choice.

I tried to convince myself I liked whisky. Until I finally realised I didn’t. Hardly ever touch it now.

I avoid red wine. I dislike the mouthfeel and it upsets my stomach as well. Don’t mind a chilled glass of white on a hot day. Or a bone dry sherry. Or champagne if someone else is buying…

Much prefer beer. Sussex Best by Harvey’s of Lewes if possible and preferably after a day at Plumpton.

Hell of a lot more people would be smoking and / or drinking too much alcohol if they weren’t highly taxed. Don’t see why sugar shouldn’t be taxed, Darren. :good:

Still a big Irn Bru fan, drink the stuff religiously. I’m also one of those weird people who prefers Diet Coke to the normal version, yet find Diet Pepsi revolting.

Hot drinks are a ‘no-go zone’ for me, never understood the fuss about tea & coffee. Very rarely I’ll have a hot chocolate if I’m freezing at a winter football match but otherwise stay well clear.

In terms of alcohol, nothing beats a good pint of Guinness for me. A good JD & coke is also one of my more common alcoholic beverages, but don’t especially enjoy drinking whisky straight.

Not bad Kryppers, but Bovril is the northerners go-to drink for winter football.

Blimey, I’m going to let the side down. Any of the stronger lagers really, Stella being the favourite. I do enjoy a pint of mixed as well. Don’t really drink spirits but the odd Gin or Vodka with the right mixer and ice cold is OK. Either Red, Merlot or White, Chardonnay is also acceptable. Tea rather than coffee and I don’t really drink “fizzy” drinks although I do have the odd Coke Zero. Other than that it’s water :-)
