    Mick Easterby

Described by some as ‘legendary’ is an overstatement. Now, at nine years short of a century, this withering and boisterous so-so trainer has long passed his sell-by date. Just one classic win to his name (back in the distant 70’s) and a few cups scattered here and there. No new tricks from the old dog. When milk (or Mick) turns to cheese, it should be binned. He must fully hand over the reigns and title to David.

So, he should immediately hang up his riding boots on his snaggle-tooth and jack it in this Easter … bye.

Sorry but I will have to bow out. Only one of my nominees made it through (Alex Ferguson) and I do not really dislike him that much.

As for the others, I cannot think of anything to add about those that have already received endorsements or anything to say about those who have not.

    Ex Ruby ie David Pipe

I did chuckle to myself when Pipe had those winners I even backed Panic Attack
I put David up for the sake of the thread, nothing against him at all. One thing I tend to think probably wrong is that David doesn’t want it as much as his Father did and maybe he’d be happier cleaning windows or working elsewhere. The yard is not what is once was is an understatement and maybe David does have the passion but it doesn’t come through

    “I even backed Panic Attack”

I’m ecstatic for you – I was on the runner up win only at 25/1.

You’re eliminated, so “get orf my land” (I mean “thread”), sir!

    Ed Chamberlin

100 words on Ed Chamberlin. Those are 100 more than I would ever wish to hear from him as racing’s primary face on terrestrial television. Years of working for Sky Sports (glorified boxing or WWE promoters who wish to find drama where there is none) have left him resembling a Gigginstown cast-off trundling around Sedgefield. If Blackmore wins, we must hear how amazing she is. Because the story of a top jockey winning a top race is apparently irresistible theatre. His disappointment is palpable whenever his pre-conceived narrative is foiled. Let’s have a presenter who treats this as a sport.

“Thank you for your participation, CAS.”

I was looking forward to voicing my no doubt unfair prejudice against William Haggas but I suppose it will keep for another day.

Nathan, I was just referring to his dad for whom 4-timers were almost a monthly achievement.
David was a pretty successful PtP trainer before he took over from his dad, but I guess he isn’t that mad about the game as his Daddy used to be. They also don’t have the big owners the used to have, like David Johnson, Sir Stanley Clarke, Peter Deal and so on.

But nevertheless he is still worth following at certain tracks with the right type of horse.

I like to style myself on absurdly-OTT fictional characters and Seinfeld’s “Soup Nazi” was my persona of choice for this, my latest, TRF project.

I actually disqualified about half the entrants before we even reached the vote!

I’m with Ben – I actually bring myself more laughter than I will ever know.

“You’re clinically insane, Davies, you’re off your rocker, fella! And you know it and love it!”

That self critique was just for you, gamble.

Don’t ever even dare to dream that you’re as big a narcissist as Davies, sir!

It would be like Quixall Crossett thinking he could beat Arkle!
