An interesting piece on him in Private Eye this week, absolutely none of which am I going to repeat here (much to Corm’s relief no doubt!!).

There’s definitely the hint of some ‘noise’ around this guy. His purchase of the poorly-performing Salford City Reds was followed by an appeal to the RFL to be allowed to spend £400,000 above the £1.8million a year salary cap to make them ‘competitive’. When this was predictably turned down he said he’d be prepared to disregard the rules anyway.

"It doesn’t interest me, just taking part. I need to win," he said.

I just hope he stops naming nearly every horse he owns beginning with ‘Gabrial’. It bugs me.

Named after his child and, apparently, Gabrial Kaka is named after what fills the nappy!!!!
