As usual, nothing to worry about. He’ll just miss the Christmas period. Didn’t come out that well out of his last race. He hit a few obstacles pretty hard, as he always does. Let’s hope he’ll be back for something decent prior to the Festival.

February 7, 2020 at 17:45 #1482271Think it is time they seriously consider retirement with him as he seems so fragile these days as this must be his 6th or 7th setback since the real glory days.
Sad but it can’t be good for the horse being left to recover then geared up for a new campaign barely get one run into him only to have something else go wrong.
February 8, 2020 at 17:31 #1482443Such a shame; he was such a talent, and his novice generation seemed well up to standard. He was very distinctive looking, like a greyhound, and his athleticism reminded me of the great Pendil. He never recovered from that first fence error in the Champion Chase; in retrospect, I’ll bet Ruby wished he’d pulled him up then and there.
Ironic that for all the times Sizing John finished behind, it was SJ who ended up with the more storied career - AuthorPosts
