I think you’ll find his Paul Nicholls blow-up doll is. Significantly so in fact.
June 11, 2007 at 14:40 #63959not a nice thought…..
June 11, 2007 at 15:32 #63960It takes a good jockey to win by a head….it takes a great jockey to lose by a head. An ould saying in irish racing circles.

Yes, that does certainly occur occasionally. But I guarantee you this much ……… when such a miscreant is discovered he is out-the-door before his feet touch the ground. He certainly would not be tolerated and defended to the hilt by his employers — to the extent of obtaining the best legal brains in the land to aid his case.
Wallace, if an "operator" is retained by Coolmore in the capacity of stable jock then that is one thing. Such an operator you can be damn sure would be riding the syndicate’s horses to instruction. That is a world away from such an employee being kept on if he was in the slightest way suspected of being in the pay of Betfair "Layers-to-Lose".
Think about it, and I am confident that you will agree that such a scenario of Coolmore tolerating that kind of carry-on as completely implausible
June 11, 2007 at 16:26 #63962Normally an employee under investigation is given administrative leave until the investigation is cleared up.
However in this case the employer has stood by Fallon until at least after the trial. They must have faith in Fallon’s ability to clear his name.Or else they need him as much as he needs them. Can they afford to lose him should he be not guilty?

They have no more idea than anyone else.

Aye; including those who would have him hung without trial!
June 12, 2007 at 12:31 #63965Would have saved a lot of time and money and we could have moved on. A timely warning for other jocks too

June 14, 2007 at 23:41 #63967Some very tinted lenses worn by some on here. The tint might be emerald green, but it might not.
If the HRA have had Fallon (sp.) out of action for so long on a jumped up charge with little evidence then they are financially knackered.
FWIW – IMO he’s a very strong jockey who rides some courses well and some (Goodwood particularly) badly. Likes to be on the rail when it sometimes isn’t the best position.
Obviously not my favourite jockey. Not in my Top 3 of all time by some way, but hardly a bad jockey (purely on riding ability).
