Justice may well be done earlier than you think Sberry, he seems fairly confident he will be able to ride in the UK as from next week.:) <br>There’s definitely something in the wind, does anyone on here know what?

I don’t think he misused the drug, as far as I’m aware he just used it…. :boat:

Maybe he was getting ready for an alternative career on Le Tour… :coolwink:

his solicitors have are in the middle of a hearing to have the charges dismissed – there is a seperate thread on this – which can only succeed if the judge thinks there is not sufficient evidence to get a conviction – result due tuesday, maybe ?

total blind optimism is one way forward when facing a potential of many months or even years picking up the soap

riding in the UK next week – is he joining ferris on the flapping circuit then - the prospect of seeing the two of them doing a ‘sean fox’ when they both find themselves riding in the same flapping race with brown envelopes in their boots would seriously improve the attendance for flapping i feel<br>

Usually, I concur with a great deal written on TRF, but the animosity toward KF baffles me.

He’s not a jockey who has made me much money, (his mounts usually start too short for my tastes), but I have seen him perform miracles on a racehorse which few of his fellow pilots seem capable of emulating.

I’d take KF and the baggage any day of the week rather than, say, the one dimensional and monosyllaballic Ryan Moore.

But then, George Best and Alex Higgins took the same kind of earnest criticism from, I suspect, much the same people. The flawed genius adds intrigue and a dash of spice to any sport and in my opinion, the sooner KF is back riding over here the better.

It was shortsighted and disingenuous to criticise Murtagh’s ride on Eagle Mountain when for all anyone knows the horse may have been ridden to get the trip.

I think Frankie made a very revealing point about Fallon when some numpty (possibly the S.S. Vince) asked him after the Derby if he ever felt like switching over to the rail coming into the straight to save ground – he cackled and said "Nooooo Noooo I’m not Kieron I dont do things like that!!"<br>Fallon’s strength in the saddle has been unrivalled in recent history – personally the only like I’ve seen is Eddery in his mid-to-late eighties pomp – but as the man says, how many times does he have to "strength" home horses that should have won with minimum fuss because of his inept tactical awareness?<br>

Lester went to jail. Does that mean he was a lousy person ?<br>And a lousy jockey also?  Right!<br>Henry Cecil and Micky Stoute considered Fallon the best around. But what would they know?

I’m with Max, I was going to make a similar comment about people such as George Best.. Fallon is a great jockey and one of the best in the world..

Henry was on the look out for a stable jockey, and Fallon was the best available, not the best around.<br>Ditto Stoute.

So these two great trainers had to ‘settle’ for Fallon because they couldn’t get a top jockey.<br>Then Coolmore employ him and stand by him.<br>God maybe be it’s just that he’s very lucky with his timing…….<br>PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Cecil didn’t employ Fallon, he would be still be plying his trade around Pontefract and other northern tracks, or more than likely he would have been involved in more corruption, and dumped out of racing altogether.<br>The decision to employ Fallon wasn’t universally popular among the racing hacks, in fact some were astonished, as nobody ever thought of him as any more than a good jockey, like a lot of others, you need the breaks, Cecil gave him his and the rest just fell into place, when he was sacked by Cecil, Stoute just happened to be on the look out for a stable jockey at the time, so Fallon got lucky again.<br>Cecil, obviously regrets making that decision, [ you know why, regardless what the true story is, he was there ]. <br>Good Jockey, greatest ever, Spare me please !

I don’t think Cecil or many of the other trainers give a sh!t what the hacks think because most of them have never ridden a horse.. And nobody has said he’s the best ever, just one of the best around which he patently is…

Madman,<br>I obviously owe you an apology.<br>I can now see by your use of italics that you have all the FACTS on K Fallons career. How he got his positions with top stables etc.<br>Originally I was under the opinion that you were just stating yours.<br>Once again my heart felt apologies.<br>                                      Dermot.<br>By the way are these the same hacks who sneered at the appointment of K McEvoy?????<br>

Agreed, Aragorn, but some of the adulation heaped on Fallon, is cringeworthy.<br>Quote : Matt Williams [ trading post, RP }<br>The King is back !<br>Quote : Matt Williams again,<br>The man is an unbelievable talent, the best jockey I have ever seen, and backing winners in Ireland, is going to be a whole lot easier with him around this summer. { even hacks are like teenage girls, after they have spotted their favourite pop idol across the street. "oh my god, is it him" ].

First off Aragorn, he came back with a winner, but hardly a vintage ride, found trouble in running, just about got clear in time, and it was a 4/7 shot, "wow".<br>Secondly does Matt Williams really think that he is going to win fortunes just because Fallon is back, Seamie Heffernan has a decent strike rate riding O Briens and nobody would put him in the same league as Fallon, as I have said before, most of the time the best horse will win, and the top jockeys are much of a muchness, give them the right ammo, and they will do the business.<br>

everyone is entitled to their own opinions and that’s all they are – next week should enlighten us all a bit more over the real issue surrounding racing that needs sorting out, in my opinion

he is a bloody good jockey though and whilst some of the horses he’s ridden to win would probably have won with me on them – and i’m a big fat b*****d
    – he’s probably worth a length or two on most jockeys but only if he’s trying

If we judge Henry in this forum on his training ability not his personal life should we not observe the same rule for Fallon?
