There were three races yesterday under 5 seconds slow.
So for the Diomed to be 2.4 seconds slow does mean it has dried a bit, but at the moment I’d say it is still between Good-Soft and Good.Value Is EverythingJune 1, 2024 at 15:34 #1696533First sprint just now was almost 2s slow and 1st race over 10f was over 5s slow and the the Princess Elizabeth (same trip as the Diomed) was almost 1s slower.
Good to soft (good in places) seem a reasonable description and don’t forget there is a fresh strip a ground that has been opened especially for today so down on the rail (2 or three horses wide) is likely to be the quickest ground.
June 1, 2024 at 16:07 #1696549Ancient Wisdom 11/2 my main bet EW but just looking for a decent horse at a nice price it has to be Ghost’s choice…
Voyage- 20/1 EW Paddy Power
Better odds elsewhere.
By Golden Horn out of a Galileo mare. .
Bred for the job.
Good luck

The more I know the less I understand.
June 1, 2024 at 16:18 #1696555I’ve played on what was an impressive turn of foot last time and that’s Ambiente Friendly
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
June 1, 2024 at 16:21 #1696556When did they change the parade to a general free for all, as opposed to being in racecard order?
It’s a long time since they used to parade in racecard order down past the furlong pole, turn around and then canter/walk to the start by the side of Langley Vale Road.

June 1, 2024 at 16:31 #1696560It might but I wouldn’t play at 3-1 with my enemies money …
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
June 1, 2024 at 16:32 #1696561I’d like Ambiente Friendly to win, not because I have backed him but for 91-year-old Bill Gredley.

June 1, 2024 at 16:36 #1696563How far would Voyage have won by?
June 1, 2024 at 16:37 #1696564Good horse as he didn’t settle properly – got a dream run up the inner though, seemed like a plan to do so.
LA ran well considering the antics before the start but he looked one paced.
Here comes the arse kissing about the trainer
June 1, 2024 at 16:37 #1696565Not the greatest Derby but the highest rated won it well.

Horse proved a lot of us wrong
Glad I never bothered adding to ancient wisdom who had no chance on this ground just enjoyed watching it
June 1, 2024 at 16:38 #1696567Might have to switch off now before the Aidan adulation starts.
The more I know the less I understand.
