If Wyndham Clark wins in the US I promise you the biggest raymomoan ever!!
I picked him out as one to follow as a rookie last year and I think by my reckoning I have backed him NINE times with only one place!!
I could have backed him at 250/1 this week but obviously didn’t.

If thee is a god up there please please please don’t let him win!!

I still have the two H’s Higgs and Hoge in with a chance so hopefully one of them will shoot low and catch and overtake him!! LOL

Ah, sorry about that Raymo I knew Wyndham had been put up umpteen times, I somehow got
it into my head it was Darren…..another senior moment

He’s still up there unfortunately after a round today of 2 under today although Holmes
has overtaken him with 7 holes to go. I wonder what his 1st round odds were …….big
I’ll wait until I see how things are when the round is finished to see where we all are :good:

I love my golf G I don’t watch enough of it, or follow it closely enough to be tipping it though. I must admit to having never heard of a few of you guys picks

Loving the thread though, and who doesn’t love a bet you can follow for 4 days :good:

You have every chance in the Phoenix Darren, I could be wrong don’t see Holmes or Clark
holding out as the winner here, so anything below them is right in the mix. It’s under way
now but the leaders have yet to start, Holmes is bookies favourite with An next, I’d have
that the other way round. Simpson isn’t far off, he’s just parred the 1st and he’s played
a peach of a shot to the 2nd green. He’s 1 yard from the pin so he’ll be 9 under in a minute.
I was pleased that Sungjae started well, 3 under after 6 to get to 7 under, but he’s just
dropped 1. He’ll need a really good round if he’s to have any chance tomorrow. Raymo still
has Wu and Forrest at 5 under, they both need the leader to come back and have a really good
    round to have a chance.

In the Saudi Green still there Darren, 3 off the lead and DJ just behind. DJ is just as liable
to play a ridiculous round of something like 62, so he’s very much in contention. I wish Detry
hadn’t started with a 3 over par 73, he’s come roaring back with 66,65 to be at 6 under. He needs
    a big round too.

So we all still have chances, but you’re in the driving seat Darren :good:

Looks like Sungjae isn’t going to make much inroads to the leaders, so I’ve had a nibble
at your man Simpson Darren. He was down to 7/1 when he had 3 birdies, he’s dropped 1 and
I took the 12/1 that was on offer. He’s only 4 behind I think he can close on that in this
round, or at least I hope so :good:

Yes, I always like to keep a track of what you rogues and vagabonds have been up to, BigG, if only to get a good laugh out of your health worries – hiding behind the settee, pulling the covers over your eyes, calling for defibrillators and what have you ! never tire of your health bulletins. Always good for a LOL. Or ROFL! And poor Raymo, with the world getting in the way so much. The world is too much with us, Uncle Ray. Hamlet told me that.

But seriously they were a couple of very nice winners you had at the end of the year, weren’t they, BigG ? Not to speak of the year’s profit. I can’t help laughing either at Uncle Dasbert’s moaning about only having a series of 2nds and thirds. A lot of us would probably sell our grannies to do that. Or did you have them all on the nose, Darren ?

I haven’t been back to that branch, Graham, as I don’t want to embarrass the girl, mooning over her. The old meaning of ‘mooning’, I hasten to add. I was nuts about a Latvian girl in Australia, always special when they’re not averse to me ! I can only put that kind of response down to God putting a spell on them. But I’m not complaining. You never competely forget an old flame, do you ?

My wife and I love each other to bits, but the chemistry wasn’t there with her. For me, she was so beautiful, chemistry could ‘go take a hike’, as the Yanks like to say, as far away it wanted to. I knew that she had never really got over her first husband, and I was actually rather touched by it. I suppose because it’s something I can understand. So I said to her not to feel embarrassed if she still carried a flame for
him, so I was tickled to find she’d put the date when they first met, about 60 years ago in her diary, and transfer it each year, with the other dates, onto my calendar.

That’s you ration of Barbara Cartland stuff for today, folks. Keep walloping those ‘turf accountants’. Wonderful euphemism ! And keep the heart tablets handy. Greetings to Uncle Darren, Raymo, MOM. and the troops.

Green was joint 3rd at 100/1 ew that ok

BigG any final views on round 4 in golf tonight this Finau got history of sunday wobbles compare his trophies to Webb and no contest a shot behind Webb and every chance of win when you think Webb was level par after round 1.
B AN a chance of a place to

Grimes all 2nds on the nose I hope not a 5th one coming up tonight

Well, as I’m sure you know, Darren, every pro bettor has losing runs, and at least one losing year, but somehow I don’t think five losses on the trot comes anywhere near a long losing run, as people who bet on the horses understand the term. Somehow, I can’t imagine you need a day-job, other than the form study you’d be doing now. I wonder how many folk have made a good few shekels from your tips ? You might need to look to your laurels, ‘put your foot on the loud pedal’, though, with BigG ‘on song’!`

Incidentally, what a wonderful name, ‘Gael Monfils’. ‘Absalom, my son ! My son !’ : David’s lament when he heard of the death of his traitorous son.

    Tennis bets next week

GAEL MONFILLS 5/1 Open Sud de france

French players have strong record in these events indoors and a winner before can add another win to collection a 4th round loss to Thiem is no shame. And his half of draw this week is good while Mannarioro a tough foe but expect to beat him then later on maybe Dimitrov. While Shapalov,Auger Allisame,Humbert and Simon all in other half of draw.

CHRISTIAN GARIN 11/1 ATP Cordoba open

1st clay event of year and he can go far here got to a final in Brazil last year so handy in South American clay won 2 titles last year and this slow court star has a bye then likely to face Saneogo but should past him
Cuevas or Del Bonis in last 8 while Pella in last 4 but good enough to beat these players.

SOON WOON KHON 9/1 ATP Pune

Into final of challenger event beat Steve Johnson in semi final he is a player I expect make big strides this year as long not to tired has a lovely draw to make final Maden or Lorenzi not cause issues but if get to last 4 could get fave Paire while be this player improving at a rate of knots.

Darren I’m hoping that Simpson can do the business tonight. You’ve had him from the
start and I, as I posted above, jumped on the bandwagon last night at 12/1. He’s 2nd
fav now at 5/2 behind Finau. Finau is a player that should have won a lot, he has a
good game, but he hits the woodwork every time it looks like he might win. I hope he
carries on in the same vein tonight. I think we have a cracking shout :good:

Great to hear from you Grimes, and yes I had a great year last year and this one started
off with a bang too in the 1st few weeks, I hope I can keep that up. You hit the nail on
the head, old flames never die they just flicker away in the background. That was an honest
and touching story you told, it says a lot about you, your understanding and priorities in
life are spot on my friend. All the very best to you and your good lady :good:

the money but still a bit to go
