Well done to Happy Jack and his merry band of colleagues for their final over victory against my team at cricket last night. They needed 3 to win off the last over (20-20) and got it with 3 bowls to spare.
Happy Jack made what some people were calling his record score (incorrectly) in a stylish innings.
Sadly he couldn’t cope with Sean Woods who finally got him with a good length straight one.
Wendyll Woods was probably man of the match – for enthusiasm if not success!

What’s he doing for the next five days?

I believe that makes the score 2-1 to us – just goes to show that having an army of Kolpak players doesn’t automatically guarantee success.
July 30, 2008 at 10:27 #175297I can guess who that regular is!
Were you allowed to inflict any of your slow left arm loopiness on those Newmarket fellows this year? I think I’m right in saying they have had a particularly fruitful time of it in Twenty20 at county level this year…

July 30, 2008 at 11:10 #175305Yep I was out for a Golden Duck – facing the last bowl of the over. Made even worse by the first ever appearance at a cricket match by my daughter who had just worked out what was going to happen when I was already trudging back to the pavilion.
Fair call on the Kolpak with regards to the demon South Africans but Sean Woods is surely more Lurpak…
July 30, 2008 at 18:56 #175362Didn’t Sir Don make just one in his first Test innings?
You’re in near illustrious company there Adrian
