Debs what terrible news. I met you both last year visiting Celeritas and my husband and I both said what a lovely, friendly chap he was. Words fail me. I’m so sorry and send my deepest condolences to you and Craig’s family.
June 3, 2006 at 21:32 #95864This is such tragic news, i’m totally stunned. I have many fond memories over the 5 years i’ve been on TRF, chat room quizzes especially, and the day out we all had at Towcester.
My thoughts are with you and the little one, and the rest of your family. If theres anything you need, you know where I am and the whole forum are hear for you.

June 3, 2006 at 21:36 #95865My heartfelt condolences to you LRM and your family. I am so shocked at the news. Further words fail me.
June 3, 2006 at 21:44 #95866Don’t know what to say LRM tbh
Condolences to you and your families
June 3, 2006 at 21:55 #95867I just saw this and am in absolute shock. My sincerest condolences go out to LRM and all his family. May God give you all the strength to come to terms with this tragic loss.
June 3, 2006 at 22:11 #95868
I never had the pleasure of meeting him personally unfortunately but finding out this news was a real shock nevertheless.
The way this place has just grown and grown shows how passionate he must have been about the game and he came across really well on here.
I send out my sincerest condolences to you LRM & family.
June 3, 2006 at 22:36 #95869My sincere condolences to all Craig’s family and friends. A very sad loss indeed.

June 3, 2006 at 23:04 #95870
So very sorry Debs
My thoughts
and prayers are with you.
It all seems so damnably unfair.
For me Craig really is The Racing Forum,
and the three words are synonymous with Daylight.
He etched his character into the fabric of this site
and that made it his special place.
I got to know him very well through his writing
and our word battles over many years,
where I challenged his rule of law
were engaging, energising and prolific
but always conducted with rubber swords
and deep down humour,
and the White Knight – my special name for him -
championed his cause well and battled honourably.
White Knight I salute you with a bowed head.

I am so sad he has gone
in fact like all who have written before
cannot really believe it.
I shall very much miss him.
June 3, 2006 at 23:19 #95871Like many others on here I don’t know what to say. Life seems so cruel and unfair at times. I don’t know you LRM, but my thoughts are with you and your family. And although its probably fairly insignificant, thank you for this forum Daylight, it introduced me to a whole world of racing forums. You made a difference to me. May you rest in peace.
Be strong LRM
June 4, 2006 at 00:07 #95874I feel very sad about this tragic news and for Deb and Luke my sincere condolences.
I joined this forum in its infancy and had some great fun with my "friends from afar" on this forum and feel many horse lovers and racing followers have been brought together as result of this fabulous forum DAYLIGHT created for our enjoyment.
we have lost a great guy far too soon RIP Craig

My Condolences to Craigs Wife and family
June 4, 2006 at 08:48 #95876very sorry to hear the dreadful news
June 4, 2006 at 08:51 #95877Thank you so much everyone for such kind words. I don’t really know what to say yet. There has to be a post mortem (hopefully on Monday) because it was a sudden death but once the arrangements are all made I’m hoping that some of these messages can be read out at the funeral – the only problem will be finding just a few of all the wonderful messages here. Luke hasn’t cried yet but he is talking a lot about his dad which is good. He keeps saying that he’ll draw dad a new heart so he can come back down from heaven. About to start crying again so I have to go.
Thanks also to members on TH and FF for your kind messages.

June 4, 2006 at 09:19 #95879I can’t believe I am reading this news but, as with everyone else on here, my thoughts are with Debs and family.
