I really like siskin but the price suggests to me he probably will be going to the railway stakes not here

I will be backing him wherever he goes

I’m crossing my fingers that Siskin meets MOE in the Railway so we can get a price on Siskin :good:

Current weather forecast is low 20s, dry first couple of days with possible light showers Thursday, warmer weekend.

I will bet two in this. Royal Lytham 14-1 + Light Angel 16-1. I’m very hopeful that this pair can be very good this year.

Temple of Heaven and Ventura Rebel are NR. Most dissapointing.

I guess I will side with WoW, but I will have another look at the race.

Mr Taylor has stuck up Threat for this, so he’s shortened a little.

I’m on Arizona at 7/1- i’ve laid half my stake at 3.8.

It’s a long week at Ascot + Down Royal (for me haha) so not risking as much.

    May back another now though.

Monoski represents value at 12s, in my opinion, and Fort Myers shouldn’t be twice the price of Guildsman

I’ve backed up my Threat bet with Monoski at 12/1 e/w.

Ran very well behind the rocket that is Bomb Proof over 5F, then stepped up very nicely to bolt up over 6F last time. Stiff 6F with a good pace should suit & he’s value at the price.

I fancy two AOB horses in this FORT MYERS at 18/1 and ROYAL LYTHAM at 20/1 both four places!

And I must say if it is soft GUILDSMAN at 8/1 was mightily impressive at Goodwood!

It’d be great to see Team Hannon relive the glory days of Canford Cliffs and Toronado … and so it’s Threat for me.

Has all the hallmark of war commands win in this race a few years ago. Fort Myers is not far behind on ratings and with many more than usual first time out coolmore winners they have probably as much idea as we have which is the best. I’d love royal Lytham to win as his dad was a beautiful mover and I think he will be a top stallion. On balance I’ll let the heart rule the head and it’s royal Lytham for me

    From my preview:

    3:05 – Coventry Stakes (Group 2)
Monoski looked imperious when winning easily at Pontefract and is a threat to all in this typically competitive renewal of the Coventry Stakes. Arizona heads the market for Aiden O’Brien after routing his rivals at the Curragh on his second start. He cost 260,000 Euros as a yearling and looked like a smart prospect on his latest start. If finding more improvement, he would be hard to beat but a chance is taken on THREAT (3/1) being above average. He’s clearly highly though of with Richard Hannon and if overcoming his inexperience, he surely goes close. Coase is another well thought of in his yard (Hugo Palmer) and his win last time at Carlisle has been franked. Guildsman looked good at Ascot but the ground was soft that day and this is a different kettle of fish. Makyon is one who looks hugely overpriced and has each way claims at 33/1.

I know the Hannons aren’t exactly afraid of talking one of theirs up, but Threat would have to be my selection. I’m hoping her turns out to be the best they have had since Canford Cliffs (who I rate as the best horse ever to run against Frankel) Would be interested to know who others think was best?
