Ventura Rebel was impressive IMO, and would have gone further clear.

I see 16s in Bet365 and Ladbrokes… and according to oddschecker there is 33s on Coral (that might have gone now).

This will be my first bet for the race.

Took 10s on Monarch of Egypt earlier. Very happy with those odds. He could be a superstar

Well of Wisdom was hampered today in the race that ended up winning Temple of Heaven.
However, I feel the winner was also hampered heavily and still managed to win.
Temple of Heaven is another one that I will probably be on. At 14s currently, same price for Well of Wisdom.

Monarch of Egypt’s form got a good boost with the 4th winning well the next one.

He was well backed before the start
Hannon does tend to send a decent one to that Newbury race so will be interesting to see how it pans out

The 4th horse might turn out to be the best of them. Could be one for the Chesham maybe

United Front wouldn’t qualify for the Chesham Botchy.

Had a bit on Full Authority at 20/1 before tonight’s run where he is odds on with the plum draw in 1 after an impressive debut run. No idea where he’s heading but out of Kingman one could assume he’ll go here next rather than the Norfolk.

Aidan’s quotes post race on Monarch Of Egypt implied he would definitely be running again before Ascot. Clearly there has been a setback. Even if he does go to Ascot off the back of one run, i wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t to here. Arizona cannot run in the Chesham whereas MOE can. It’s entirely possibly he’d just run both against eachother. MOE is unlikely to step up from 5 to 7 in one go. I guess the Norfolk would also be an option.

Personally, i am going to get one or two in the book here mainly Arizona. MOE has the potential to either not run at all, or still run, but go elsewhere.

I was impressed with Repartee at York – strong at the finish, unfazed by a big crowd. Could actually be mistaken for a 3yr old and I’m not sure why he’s almost twice the price of Threat.

Temple Of Heaven would be another whose price looks fat.

I’ve had a go at the 10s about Threat.

Debut figure was quick, Hannon’s these days come forward a good bit for the first outing & as a Feb foal should be a nice ready 2YO for this. Debut was also over 5F and the 6F looks to suit even more next time around.

Repartee did look good Mark, just noticed his trainer’s post race quote that its not all about Ascot however! Haven’t seen any updates on him yet!

Yeah – I like the Coventry as a race but it’s roll of honour possibly lacks quality of a race with such hype / prestige.

I would agree with that Mark, it doesn’t quite throw up as many top drawer horses one might expect with the hype of the race, but it’s still one of the races I look forward to the most. I hope this year’s running can throw up a good one.

It’s obviously difficult to call right now, but I think that in time Well Of Wisdom could fit the bill, I think he’ll come on for that Newbury run, and if I was betting anything for this right now, he would be my choice.

So MOE has had a setback and not certain to make RA at all, but here would be the target. Arizona on course for here- hence his shortening in recent days.

Interestingly Mark, in the piece, Kevin Ryan mentioned 2 of his 2yos and neither was Repartee- Obviously doesn’t rule him out running as he might not have been asked to mention them all, but worth noting.

Maybe he’s an unlikely runner, Jack.

There are possibly more suitable targets later in the calendar
