Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 23, 2021 at 18:07 #1524778Cheers fellas
February 23, 2021 at 21:21 #1524812Gone a bit daft on this Pipe horse Leoncavallo now so a big relief to see him get a couple of entries today. The any race price seems to be fair value and with that Kelso race next week carrying a big bonus like that Imperial Cup, it may well be on the radar. Not easy by a far stretch but that extra bit more time between races helps a lot.
February 23, 2021 at 21:53 #1524821I’ve always liked Eclair De Beaufeu, but is hasn’t happened for him this season at all. I haven’t looked through all the entries for the other handicaps, but at 25/1, he would be my early call here. I’ll trawl through the entry list in full tomorrow
February 24, 2021 at 23:50 #1525255Quite happy to have an early bet in this with NRNB attached.
Looked through them again, and the one I nearly bet was Champagne Gold. Think he’s a horse worth following. He has two other entries though, and I’ll wait and see. Same story with Tiger Tap Tap, and Thedevilscoachman. Already missed the 16’s with Thedevilscoachman.
Saldier is apparently Champion Hurdle bound, and I wanted a bigger NRNB price for Magic Tricks at this stage, so was a toss up between Solo and Proschema.
I’d just favour Solo at this stage, but with NRNB on offer, I topped up my “any race” bet, so I just did the pair of them.
Proschema 20’s
Solo 25’s
Both NRNBFebruary 25, 2021 at 00:23 #1525261I like proschema too but think he may need to go up a few lbs to get in
February 27, 2021 at 19:54 #1525707Tiger Tap Tap EW @ 33/1 NRNB BOG
March 2, 2021 at 13:20 #1526560Fifty Ball 13-1 ew 5 places NRNB. If Soaring Glory goes Supreme and Fifty Ball gets in here, then huge chance.
March 2, 2021 at 15:40 #1526610Hills are a massive standout on Blue Sari at 33/1. Had to take it.
March 13, 2021 at 19:32 #1529400Petit Mouchoir @ 33/1 NRNB
Thank God for NRNB coming early this year, it does allow you to have a few wild swings at these handicaps. Currently about 500’s on the exchanges for the Champion and no surprise to see Jordan Gainford get the ride. Could look a nice price that if going
March 17, 2021 at 10:50 #1530224Interesting jockey booking for Petite Mouchoise 33’s @ 365
March 17, 2021 at 11:08 #1530236Indeed. Will be keeping an eye on him in the GA today. They’re talking him up as if he’s AP!

March 17, 2021 at 11:32 #1530246Two straightforward selections for me first of all with Ganapathi and Petit Mouchoir.
Ganapathi is surely better than we’ve seen so far, and always going to back him, but was so difficult with his multiple entries. I think the 6’s is fair, it’s bigger than I expected.
I’ve bet Petit Mouchoir too many times to mention the last few to mention, including betting him for both The Champion Hurdle and National Hunt Chase. I thought he had a live EW chance in The Champion Hurdle this year, and threw a couple of quid his way. Completely overpriced here.
Two should be enough, but I keep coming back to Champagne Gold at 16’s, I really liked his run at Leopardstown. That run from Le Patriote in last years Champion Hurdle is still fresh in the mind, he was swinging away two out. Claimer takes seven off, and I’ve decided I’ll take him to max EW Places.
Ganapathi 6’s
Le Patriote
Petit Mouchoir 33’s EWMarch 17, 2021 at 20:15 #1530473Struggling with the handicaps on the last day as so many of the runners don’t have handicap hurdle form to rate.
My top 5 for the County Hurdle are:
Strong Glance 171
Milkwood 166
Edwardstone 165
Ciel De Niege 165
Fifty Ball 163All have bits and pieces of form that puts them in with a shout, but none stand out.
One that would worry me is Buildmeupbuttercup who hasn’t been raced properly in her last two races, but is good enough at best and I suspect stable have been eyeing this race.
March 17, 2021 at 20:38 #1530489I’m on Ganapathi at 20/1. Hopefully he stays out of trouble and we see how good he is. I suspect he’s fairly good indeed.
The other i am about to add is Ciel De Neige. Went off 6/1 last year and i think he’s still got a big one in him. Jonjo jr a good booking.
I might have a saver on Captain Kangaroo at 33/1. He’s been disappointing since beating Kilcruit in a bumper, but he’s a complete flat pedigree, and i suspect the ground might have been an issue.
