I’m happy with my first pair in this, and topped up Petit once eight places available.

My plan to add Champagne Gold looks unlikely, as his price has plummeted. Le Patriote looks like one of those who looks good on paper. Looks well treated on his Champion Hurdle run, jockey takes seven off, he’ll like the ground, and he’s three pounds below last mark. I’ve just myself into it. Saves me deliberating over the JP trio of Drop The Anchor, Darasso, and Ciel De Niege

I really fancy the Skelton horse, but I have a dire record in this race. Gold Cup day in general rarely brings me much!
